Warlord's US Armour, Infantry and some more Germans!
« on: March 29, 2017, 06:50:47 PM »
Hi all,

I just uploaded pictures of my first ever painted WWII US Armour and Infantry onto my website for an ongoing "Battle of the Bulge" project.

Here are some pictures:

US Army Armour Group Picture: http://www.sascha-herm.com/US-Armour-01.htm

US Army Infantry HQ: http://www.sascha-herm.com/US-HQ-Group01.htm

US Army MMG Team: http://www.sascha-herm.com/US-MMG01.htm

German Dismounted Panzer Crew: http://www.sascha-herm.com/Germ-Tank-Crew01.htm

Please have a look at my website : http://www.sascha-herm.com/ for more individual pictures and some info on how I painted the AFV's and Figures.  ;)

Please let me know what you think. Any comments are very welcome.

Regards

Sascha

The Driver of the M3 was a real pain to fit into the Halftrack after I painted him. He is sitting a little high and appears to look over the top of the M3 but I just could not get him any lower.

I vaguely remember having to cut the feet off of my driver to get him into his seat after he was painted.

 ;D

Great looking vehicles and infantry.   Really good job on everything.

One very minor criticism, (from experience) in muddy conditions, your gear/stowage also gets dirty/muddy as mud gets flung everywhere by the tracks and you break through ice and splash through mud going through small creeks and puddles.
Every time a bad person dies, a Paratrooper gets his wings.

Thank you  ;)

For the Snow I used a Mix of PVA Glue, AP Battlefields Snow and Andrea Artificial Snow Powder in a overall Ratio of 3:2:1. I applied the mix with a small brush in a couple of layers but also sprinkled some dry AP Snow on top of the mix to represent fresher Snow.

Hope that helps  :)

I had to cut his feet off too  ;D and the little bugger still didn't wanted to sit down properly  o_o lol

In regards to the weathering... I really struggle to do too much "dirtying" after trying to do a "tidy" paint job  ;) lol
I know it's not very realistic but I just can't get myself to do it  :)
