Just heard that the pre-assembled figures are PVC.  :'(  I had assumed they might be with the pre-assembled thing, but I have serious doubts about the end result quality of the figures if this  is the case.

I agree with the above, but I also think neither pewter nor resin are viable if you want to make money with minis.

Not for me I'm afraid. I like the minis, but pvc is not the best material for quality sculpts. It's fine for boardgames (Blood Rage minis are excellent) and buying cheap for mass battles, but for skirmish games I would think you want better quality casts. Paying £40 for a handful of pvc figures - not gonna happen. All the extra cards and gubbins doesn't attract me either. Shame.

They should have contacted Prodos. The material of which e.g. Demigods Rising has been made is truly excellent. Not too happy with the 28mm Blood Rage and The Others models. The larger ones in blue plastic on the other hand are good enough.
We'll see, won't back this one but maybe will pick it up later if the miniatures turn out to be ok.

It seems that 4ground really listens to the response. They changed the stretch goals and introduced this nice starter for two players. Not bad for £70!

As to the miniatures material, they claim to work with the best professionals in the field. I think that some hard PVC figures have great quality these days. Like it or not, large part of our hobby will probably go this direction in the future...

New add-onn allows you to buy just miniatures without cards, dice and so on. https://ksr-ugc.imgix.net/assets/017/331/456/cca34122dcb5e336c2f2206a002ee996_original.jpg?w=680&fit=max&v=1498873227&auto=format&q=92&s=0a2b4e6d43ca0098977f43bbbd204651

Also can someone change the name of this topic? It's called "The Legends of Fabled Realms" not "Lands"  ;)

They posted up saying that the PVC will be made by the same company that makes the  Mythic Battles, CMON, and Conan game miniatures.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

It's still PVC whoever makes it. And that should mean cheap and plentiful. It doesn't really make sense to me to provide figures in a bargain basement material at a boutique price.

You can buy the starter miniatures in resin now. Eight high quality casts for £42 sound pretty good.

I think this KS started kind of akward but it starts to find the righ direction. As it goes on and some stretch goals were altered, you'll get great value for the basic £40 pledge. Don't forget it includes the rulebook and lots of cards and tokens, not just the miniatures. The retail value for this items is over £70.

New stretch goal reached, so now the Sale sword faction will be up for order.

for those who missed it. This is a recording of the live Q&A.  They got into the background and why they are doing things the way they are.

All of the first 4 warbands seemed to have been unlocked now.

While I'm still probably sitting this out - a lot of reshuffling of prices and content.  Some levels now looking more appropriate - though I'm still "meh" about the materials chosen.

I am amazed how thought-out and rich is the word of Fabled Realms - check out the Beast of War videos or Kickstarter streams. Also the value of pledges in this KS starts to be almost ridiculous :) So much stuff for £40? Seriously?
