Was sure I'd already commented about this aspect of your painting but perhaps I forget to hit 'post'.

It really does look good but still colourful, it's easy to weather ministures and they end up dull - it's my failing at present and something to work on.

Thanks! Cool you saw that, it's one of the things I try to achieve. I think it really helps I am using Contrast paints as the base layer and shading. These are quite saturated, so the main colours pop well. But for most highlights I use either Vallejo Deck Tan or Scale 75 Nacar, a very desaturated light grey. For me this gives a nice balance between rich colours and desaturated highlights.

New update!

Tool Time - DIY store

It's the Tobacco shop by 4Ground, a small store with a very nice footprint for gaming. Not too big it will fill up a lot of table space, but big enough for models to get inside. I combined it with the interior DIY set they have for their mall. The building was a breeze to assemble, nothing hard. The tool set on the other hand is VERY fiddly and I'm not a fan on how some connectors fit (way too loose). But with some patience and a bit help from my superglue I got there. But unfortunately the set doesn't fit in the shop that well and I had to do some changes to get the best setup. But I think it makes for a great terrain piece for Walking Dead. To finish it off, I coloured pieces of the brown cut MDF, added some decals (Green Stuff World) and leaves and airbrushed some weathering.

Fun Land

A really cool terrain set by Knight Models for their Batman game. It's all cardboard and I could buy it for 8GBP on Facebook, so an excellent haul I'd say! I assembled it, reinforced it with some hot glue and superglue and then edged all sides to get rid of that cardboard look. For the Ferris Wheel I constructed in a way that I didn't have to slot the carriages through the side. This prevents the typical cardboard scenery look and looks much more convincing.
An excellent terrain set and it makes for a table of its own for Walking Dead. I can imagine Lori and Rick taking Carl for a day of fun when he turns 10...but they are not alone...

The Zombie-Land table setup if brilliant. The cardboard really works as the temporary carnival - their buildings were always temporary and rickety looking.  Fantastic job painting them.

Thanks lads!

@syrinx0: agreed! I think the grungy, rusty and tattered look is perfect for games like Walking Dead or my Cyberpunk tables.

Cheers!
At first only pictures...but then my kids walked into the room and started playing with the scenery and miniatures. So it was used for their adventures ;)
But hope to play a game soon again!

Oh Mal....

I lost track of this thread, but WOW!!  Just love everything, the attention to detail, the great paint, the awesome scenery.  You've really been knocking this project out of the park!!

I wonder if that news vendor still has Amazing Fantasy #15 for sale? lol

Cheers vikey! It really is a fun game and the miniatures are a blast to paint. And with the scenery you can really go to town.
Oh, I saw Negan run off with #15 by the way. Maybe you can still catch him?

After several months of painting other stuff, I went back and did three more for this game. This time it's Dwight, John and Tara from the Here's Negan board game. Cool thing is, they also made profiles for Walking Dead: All Out War, so I can use them in both games. Excellent.
And once again fast paintjobs with Contrast paints and some highlights. Next up will be the other two survivors from the game (Negan will be done someday, I already have a painted Negan) and Tyreese.

Group shot

Dwight

John

Tara

Love the look of your walking dead paint jobs.  What Contrast paint creates the spiffy tattoo?   lol

It's a new one! Instant tattoos! Super easy :P
But no, I had to add the tattoos he has in the comics (although later on in the comic they seemed to have disappeared...lol). And thanks!
