Another suggestion, although I would like Lenin as well as Makhno: What about Comrade Nina Ivanovna Yakusheva?

Not an immediate military context, but since she fought as a Sergeant at Warsaw...

I can see her as a great option, armed with cooking pot and ladel urging the reds forward! Okay, It's nice to know you are also thinking of us girls too.

I was also thinking about Kornilov who was inspirational an a key player at the start of the revolution.

More of a coincidence, though, since I recently rented "Ninotchka" from my local library to finally watch it, being a bit suspicious since I was thoroughly disappointed by a number of suggested "screwball classics", but this one is Billy Wilder at his best! And, well, you see "The Garbo" laugh.

It's one of the best comedies ever. Lubitsch & Wilder have been a great team.
