So very cool.
What can one say but, "love the whole setup."
Thanks for sharing the building of the table.

It was a great table to play on.  We played the Germans in the second game of the day at OML5, the annual Lardy Games Day in Evesham, and came within an Ace of victory, but the Soviets repulsed out final assault.  But who cares, it was just fantastic to play on what is not model railway standard terrain, but film set standard.  Just brilliant.

I love when all the hard work pays off!

I saw it in all its splendour on Saturday and for me it's the best wargames setup I've ever seen period. I think it should glued to the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel

I came, I saw, I went home again..

bit hard to play on it up there don't you think?
perhaps set up on the floor of the Sistine Chapel?

No, it just requires long arms and a relaxed attitude.

Have you had luck with a particular brand or type of PVA glue?

Cheap PVA contains filler. It's best to use a full strength formula for this sort of task, such as Gorilla Glue, which is a US brand. Deluxe Materials and others also make some with modelling use in mind.
