I like the idea of satyrs as degenerate woods-dwellers!

Might have to borrow that for my nominally-English Civil War/17th C pulpish/Cthulhu-ish games, possibly alongside some of those fairly new GW Wood Elf (Sylvaneth, I think?) tree monsters that tempt me even though I've never owned a GW figure in my life...

Degenerates!

Or possibly regular cultists, or even less mutated kindred, depending.

The nameless cult of Yog-Sothoth grows!

Everyone on my newly felted regulation 2' by 3' Strange Aeons board:-

I LOVE that felted regulation board. So simple, yet so effective.

Yeah, the board came out pretty well.

It's a 2x3 bit of 12mm MDF (which I varnished because it turns out fresh MDF *stinks*) with a bit of S&A felt ( http://scenics.co.uk/#!/Felt-Cloth/p/18324166/category=3184359 ) (gently ironed under a tea towel to get out the worst of the creases) stretched over it using the technique described at:-

Fishmen!

These are from Crucible Crush, sculpted by the guy from Pulp Figures.

Lovely minis, if a trifle spendy, particularly once shipped to the UK.

I followed a recipe for painting Slann from Games Workshops 'How to paint Lizardmen'. Lots of washes and a yellow glaze over the top.

With some stat boosts you could easily have one heck of a "warband" featuring big, medium and small....

Love it,

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the land dark creatures were stirring.

Luckily, Agent Kringle of the Committee for Festive Security is on hand.

Every year, at about this time, I consider getting some snowmen and doing a crimbo themed project of some sort......

That mood always strikes me a little too late to get much done before the season is over. So this year in what for me was a remarkable bit of forwards planning I got these guys glued to bases and basecoated ready for painting in June and stuck them in a drawer for six months. :-)
