Neapolitan Ice - Sid Rezegh, 21st November 1941 edit
« on: March 15, 2017, 07:43:25 PM »
I've just posted a scenario based on the action above the third escarpment at Sidi Rezegh on the afternoon of 21st November 1941. It has secret briefings for the British and German players, so if you plan on playing be careful what you read. The designer notes should not be read by either player. The umpire, if there is one, should read everything.

I've put quite a bit of effort into this one so I hope someone else can use it too.

The scenario includes some nice maps and a few photos, so even if the Western Desert isn't your bag you might get something out of it.

Good looking scenario - not sure I have quite enough early war kit to play it though.

Go to the latter part of this long scenario to see shots of the battle as fought on the table

Impressive looking game.

As you are using BKC rules how do you avoid needing lots of little hit dice everywhere?

Little base markers (pennies) with little rocks are useful, easy to make and cheap. My bases have 1, 2, 3 or four rocks.

It's a system I use for all periods, in all scales. I also have markers for other stuff like being suppressed - in this case 2 pence pieces with shell craters made with Milliput. Not the best photo, but there are a couple in this shot.

Thanks. They work very well - I hadn't even spotted them in the original photos, as they blend in well with the table.

Most of my groups games seem to involve little dice following the units around - you tend to get used to it. But is good to see what a game can look like without them, yet still have practical markers.

Excellent looking battle.
Thanks for all the time you spend detailing the battle.
Love your website, I visit it a lot.
Now to get on and start painting all the figures I have collected the past few years. :)

Beautiful collection and battle!

I often wondered about BCC with 15 mm and concluded that it would need a bigger table... you seem to agree!  lol

You might want to crop/edit the last photo, the naughty symbol is visible.

Lovely looking game btw.
