Looking for Sculptors
« on: March 05, 2009, 05:51:54 AM »
Hello, everyone -

I'm moving ahead with the next phase in my insidious plan. I'm looking for a sculptor or sculptors willing to sculpt characters, civilians, and troop types for a Pulp Era range that would also include occasional earlier period characters. The focus of the range would nominally be the Orient in the early 1930s, initially; however, there are some other subjects I'd like to cover in a complementary range, and some of them would not necessarily be Orient focused (for example, certain early period adventurer types, a historical personality here and there, etc.)

I'd be looking for you to sculpt to a 28mm scale compatible with other Pulp lines, so that the figs could be used alongside the excellent work done by Pulp Figures, Brigade Games, etc. However, please do note that I'm not intending to replace these lines, only complement them (I rather like Lon and Bob, and don't want to steal their thunder).

On that note, I'd also be looking for a mold maker and caster.

I'm located in the United States. I don't mind working with someone overseas.

Please feel free to contact me if you are interested, and we'll see what we can do to get the ball rolling:)

Regards,

Doc

There's a thread at frothers where sculptors can post their availability for commissions:

A lot of them hang out there, so might not be bad to post it there as well. :)

Ha! I have no idea if I can sculpt or not. Maybe I should try, and then apply.

Never a truer word spoken. :D

Yes I agree IKB is a superb model, as are the majority of your sculpts.

Agreed, "Kickass" is a hell of a nice sculpt, as are the intrepid explorers. Interesting idea doing the casting in resin, too!
I've always been a fan of the Spider Tank you carry, too. Nice piece.

I will send you a PM soon. Thanks for expressing interest!
