Well, that sucks. It was a nice reference source!

Well, my 15mm oriented blogs are:

The Raft - https://wargamingraft.wordpress.com/ Not specifically sci-fi but lots of usable terrain ideas.

The Wargames Website 15mm sci-fi board only needs to be checked about once a month.  :?

And of course, Skully's blog

If you haven't seen Spaceman Spiff's Blog full O' Battlemechs, I would suggest it, but it hasn't been updated since 2014 It isn't 15mm, but it is sci-fi and most of it is beautiful and simultaneously accessible. I look at it and think "Damn, that is cool... I bet I could do that." That is, in my opinion, the best compliment.

Other than that, I mostly look here.

I've been reading the Five Parsecs from Home (3rd ed) rulebook during the summer and tried to make a frequency chart to see how many enemies one will encounter, so that one could choose to model what is most frequently appearing.


Criminal elements

+0 Hulker Gang (4%) Total = 4%

Exceptions

Some enemies might gain extra numbers during specific circumstances:

If you win a battle against Criminal Elements type of enemy, you will roll two die to see if they are rivals. If both rolls are ones, then they hate you and add an additional +1 enemy if you fight them again.

If you gain Enforcers as rivals, they will add an additional +2 to their numbers in following fights. The department looks out for their own...

Renegade Soldiers will carry a grudge, they add an additional +1 to their numbers if you are their rivals.

edit:

If it is the final battle of quest, you play a Fight off objective with an additional +1 to enemy numbers

If you play a scenario with the defend objective add +1 to enemy numbers

During a Rival attack, there are two scenarios where you add +1 enemy model: Brought friends and Assault

When playing Invasion battles, add +2 to enemy numbers

During a battle, if you roll for Battle events and get Enemy reinforcements , add +2 enemies, of which one is a specialist

Frequency

How many enemies will I meet during a typical encounter? This depends on your chosen crew size. Having a crew size of 6 means that you roll 2D6 and use the highest result, having a crew size of 5 means you roll 1D6, and with a crew size of 4 you roll 2D6 and use the lowest number. The table below is to be read X/36 (since 2D6 have 36 possible results), showing the odds.

With a crew of 6, you will encounter 6 (+ additional numbers) enemies 11/36 (30,56%) of the time.

There are some other modifiers too. A patron job with the “dangerous job” hazard adds 1 enemy. A “defend” quest mission objective or “brought friends” rival attack also add 1 enemy. (Only one of these three can happen in a particular mission.) I th8nk there are one or two other things that will add an enemy, but I can’t find them off-hand.
