Great to hear you are recovering Ockman.
It looks like a cameo in a box.
Would be a good idea for a diorama also.

Gzg ...... are among the nicest minis around.

Keep it up my friend 🖖

Only if the target has a weak heart/improperly shielded main CPUs/Nihk has used the override command to activate 'lethal' setting.

Thanks, Z!

It's actually a photo from January, but I think that I might be able to paint soon again. I have a couple of painted, unposted miniatures in store, but I haven't had time to either take photos or write up stories.

GZG makes the best minis, love those civilians...

Thanks Skully, it's always a joy to recieve such praise!

I find GZG to be almost perfect (their Colonial Defense Force is a bit to bulky + I would love some more 'adventurers').
This was just supposed to be a quick paintjob to make another colonist, but then while posing the photos I saw a different side of her...

Re: [15mm] Ockman's Sci-fi, update 190713: Colonist Edie Lang
« Reply #455 on: July 13, 2019, 05:43:08 AM »
Each new colony world offers an entirely new biosphere with all the possibilities and risks that entails. Every colonist wish for edible plants, perhaps with some medicinal (or recreational) side effect, docile and useful creatures and soil that supports the brought along seeds. Every colonist tend to fear for invasive (and perhaps poisonous) plants, dangerous predators and hostile viruses. Some risks might be mitigated by inserting selected animals and plants, but that might as well topple a fragile ecosystem with catastrophic consequenses...

Colonist Edie Lang by Oscar Falk, on Flickr

"RRRRRRAAAAOOOOO!"
Somewhere out there, the savage predator was howling at the celestial bodies. Edie Lang cocked her head towards the sound, trying to zone in on the carnivore's position. Unlike many other colonists, she had a 'live and let live' mentality. As long as the local wildlife left her and her cattle alone, she'd be glad to let them continue doing whatever they were doing since before she arrived here. But after losing her third Gaarox in one season, Edie decided that this specific predator had caused enough trouble to void the 'live and let live'-clause.

She couldn't pinpoint exactly what had changed, but she knew that she was close now. The wildlife had turned quiet, something was different in the air. Suddenly, a clearing opened up in front of Edie, a clearing strewn with carcasses, skulls and bones. The creature stood in the middle of the opening, a massive beast with powerful jaws. It watched Edie with all four eyes, bewildered by the fact that the prey had come to it, instead of the other way around. Edie switched off the safety on her gun. The creature hadn't realized that it no longer was the apex predator on Golgotha Prime...

Thanks, mates!

One thing I really like about GZG's colonial and merc ranges is the (almost) 50/50 split between male and female sculpts.

Thanks, Florian!

The camouflage was mostly a happy accident, I was experimenting with starker contrasts and it ended up looking like this.

Thanks, mate! It's nice to be among the seeing again!

I'm very fond of GZG's figures, will be hard not to order on this current sale. I'm thinking about getting some colony terrain and some crusties...

I'm about to make another order as well!!  lol

Love your figures, you clearly  put a great deal of time and effort into them to bring out as much character as possible.

Also love your scenery it's amazingly atmospheric (forest is characterfully claustrophobic) it's something I'm learning to do and prioritize more as without it games tend to lack character.

I also love GZG stuff. I'm nearly 28 and remember seeing GZG at local shows in Birmingham when I was 6/7. He had the coolest minis outside GW and my opinion has only gotten better since!
