Another tough choice. The shading is wonderful, Area23 -- so natural looking you almost don't notice it. The Rogue Traders being 15's, though, also amazing!

Two very good entries from my favorite genres. Oldhammer Beakees...lovely, but i must admit, I'm stunned by those 15s - they're awesome!

I do recognize one Ikwen, but where are the others from?

Thanks both - DivisMal, yes - one Ikwen, the Rogue Trader at the back is from GZG (NSL Command pack) the rest are ESU - without camo capes except the sergeant, who is from a pack with camo capes. I thought colour choice and a chap with a cape gave them the pulpy feel I was after.

@area23 - love the Beakies, cool to see them in more earthy colours.

I like that this is a match-up between actual Rogue Trader-era Space Marines, and a creative use of 15mm figures to recreate the feel of Rogue Trader!  Well done to both.

Wow, I've been looking for a colour scheme for my Ikwen and yours is wonderful! May I ask how it was done?

Thanks! The skin is a very weird paint I bought and rarely use - Vallejo opaque 'heavy orange'. It's not orange, much closer to peach so I based with that that, a thin wash of gw reikland flesh ink (very similar in colour so the effect is subtle) then progressively added in a bit of bone colour to the base colour.

All my whites are Vallejo silver grey, Vallejo grey wash then highlighting with Vallejo silver grey up to white.

You definitely should - the past year of GZG releases has been really great, Jon's doing a fantastic job.
