Westwind Doctor and Reporters
« on: March 08, 2009, 10:53:21 AM »
Morning all.  :)

I was just wondering if anyone has any pictures of these figures from WW's Gothic Horror "The Mummy" range. Says there's four figs in the pack, but only one is illustrated and its a crap picture.

Anyone got them? Pictres would be great, although I will take personal testimonies that they don't suck.

Cheers!

EDIT: Buggrit, I just realised that this is in the wrong forum - Malamute, do you want to move it? Sorry.

I have the pack :)

Nice figures, two of which will be appearing this week in a photo feature as I have finished them.

The Dr is dressed in a three piece suit, wide brimmed hat, scarf and cane. He looks more Victorian to me than pulp.
There is also a young hero type, again more Victorian in appearance. Pith helmet, shirt, braces high waisted trousers (Like cavalrymens) brandishing a sword.
Next is a short chap in pith helmet and safari suit, with shorts. Veyr plup.
The female figure is a disappointment. Holding what looks like a Luger, long shirt and blouse. Not the best sculp.

Hang on til wedenday and you'll see a photo of the first two.

Cheers mate.  :)

I'm looking for some very specific minis for my VSF Stargate project, and I hoped that they might fit the bill. How come its so hard to find decently sculpted armed womed in Victorian clothes without going to Foundry and paying through the nose?  ???

Seriously though I got these three (on the left) in a multi pack from the open day last week that are surplus although I would choose to use Constance as my Lady Samantha Carter

You could look at some of the other Westwind Gothic Horror sets as they have plenty of female figures in turn of the century attire.

What about Blue Moon in their Chaos in Carpathia sets?

Svennn has highlighted in my opinion the best Victorian ladies, I think all of the foundry DA packs have some extremely useful figures for VSF. :)

****Sighs***  PM on the way mate. You are worse than a crack dealer. Luckily for me.  :D

I've had a look through the other WestWind stuff too Nick, and there are one or two others that might be pressed into service, especially if I decide I need a Vala as well.
