I thought about him! He has the same issue that Bob Murch's figures have in that his uniform is a Gestapo one (or close enough) rather than army and converting that would be really fiddly work.

I've been tempted to pick him up as a Gestapo officer though!

You're welcome and thanks for the nice words.

There is obviously no shortage of Wehrmacht officer miniatures, but I'm not sure I've ever seen one that fits your description. To me, he should look like Olrik from the Blake and Mortimer comics, but in a Wehrmacht uniform and without a moustache.

Yes, that's precisely the right sort of idea. That casually arrogant strut is an excellent pose.

Most Wehrmacht officer figures are just intended for normal military games and not pulp villainy, so they're simply sculpted as army officers, not megalomaniacs. At the same time, most pulp figure makers don't bother with Wehrmacht figures because they (correctly) figure most people will just buy Bolt Action or whatever. Bob Murch's Gestapo figures seem like an exception, but actually they fill a hole, since most military minis makers don't have a Gestapo line.

Basically, my Nazi pulp league is being lead by a charismatic con man (who does have a few legitimate talents) who has charmed and sleazed his way up the ranks. The exact character description I typed last year was

Quote
Oberst Karl Schimmer

A man of at-best mixed military record, questionable background, and atrocious personal habits. Party ties and charisma have helped keep his career afloat, but it is Schimmer's grasp of the arcane - however tenous and drug-fuelled - that interests the Ahnenerbe.

Karl will assure you that he is always winning;)

I have several heads I could use - I just need the body. I could even add the uniform details myself if I could find a figure in riding pants and a plain military-cut jacket with the right sort of pose, seeing as I converted most of my German soldiers from Copplestone Russians.

Wow, haha, I wonder how many other sci-fi minis series have blatant nazi callbacks. I don't mean, like Imperial Commissars, I mean like this where they're just straight up in a nazi uniform barring a detail or two.

There is an overall unamended dearth of Blake and Mortimer look alike figures for the 28mm market.

These are a few from Artizan that I think might be workable:

General Von Krauch

Rommel

Then there's Copplestone:

The 2nd and 5th from the left in the german Officers WW2026 pack.

Also; Ebob Miniatures:

The Ferrets pack has potential (might need adding officer caps), and a perfect miniature would be the Kommandant miniature, which sadly is only a freebie with the 'Germans Bonus Set'.

There are more, but most of those have already been pointed out... :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Good suggestions. I have both the Artizan ones as mentioned in my first post. The Foundry ones are quite small, I believe, smaller than I normally go for.

The ebob is intriguing though! I have his limited-issue 1:48 stalingrad feldwebel, which is beautiful. The pic on the site is tiny though! Anyone here have one? Maybe I can email ebob to ask, he's always been a good, helpful sort.

In the meantime I have a spare set of legs which will work and I know I can sculpt the torso myself. If I can find a good head, I may well do up my own conversion. But if Ebob's figure is nice and the right size, why not eh?

Ah, it turns out he's on the smaller size - true 28mm. Rats!

Too bad... :?

I used to have a pack of the Ebob sculpting dollies, but those were too slight as well. So obviously Ebob minis are not compatible with other 28mm lines then. Shame...

Have you checked the Black Tree Design Range of germans?
There are some officers that might work.
