The Death of Bickley Pasha
« on: January 27, 2011, 06:31:27 PM »
A brief photomontage of a game played in GHQ this afternoon. I was the Egyptians, Jon the Mahdists... The title may give the outcome away.

Hope you enjoyed the visit.

Awesome stuff. I'm working on an Egyptian army myself at the moment and this is very inspiring. Thanks for posting.

A good looking war-game David. How are the old colonial rules working out? And are the damn things selling dear boy?  ;)

Thanks, Captain B. It is a wargame, none of this 50 figures a side stuff for real gamers, eh? :D
I am happy to say they are selling steadily and I am well advanced on a set for the Indian Mutiny, using mechanisms from the first two sets, together with some newideas I've worked on.

Don't be saddened, if he keeps winning it will only go to his head :)

No, you are wrong there, too modest for that to happen! :D
Liked your Carlist War photo report on your blog by the way. Did you mention that I won, I can't remember.... :D

The 7 x 4 table looks plenty big to me, currently converting my Company HQ to that scale.

Ah, John, they say immitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Don't forget to send some dates for your visit to GHQ for a game.

Grand scale fighting, nice. Did you create the QRS sheets I dont recall there being one in the rules. I'm buying them tomorrow here in Hawaii. I just orderred two large force of Perry's to battle it out. Looks like a solid game.

The QRS is on pages 35 & 36 in the rulebook, although I did print my own out, of course, and laminated them for harder wear. ;)
I hope that you will enjoy playing the games when your forces are ready!
Cheers!

Hi!
Yes, it is a terrain mat, no space in GHQ to store proper desert scenery, that's in the loft and I'm usually too idle to fetch it down...
