The Grand Trunk Road at Byklabad ~ picture heavy.
« on: July 28, 2011, 06:30:18 PM »
Some action shots, of varrying quality, from this afternoon's game here in GHQ between Jon White {Lord Walton} and yours truely {Bykli Singh}. In nine turns the Imperial forces brushed aside the Mutineers blocking their path and cleared the road to Byklabad...

A general view at the start of the game. The Mutineer units were distributed by a randomn card system, including blanks.

Mutineer artillery, supported by cavalry and infantry cover a ford in the great river.

Sikh Irregular Horse force a crossing under fire {Don't ask...}

Allowing infantry to cross unopposed.

Stirling work by HEIC cavalry and the 9th  Lancers neuters the threat of Mutineer infantry on the column.

Meanwhile fierce fighting develops in the village.

While on the Mutineer right flank things go badly for the Badmash who lack the Pluck needed...

While the village is finally cleared at the point of the bayonet.

Even the Mutineer baggage is lost as the remnants of Bykli Singh's army flees...

The game lasted nine turns in two and a half hours and rattled along really well we felt.

The usual eye-candy.

Was that a subliminal product placement in the first picture?

The Nabob of Nham is now painted and elephanted.....

When my scenery arrives I'll get some back shots done.  I based his elephant's colour scheme on the one that Phil did for you, so quite a bright little affair.

Like you I have decided to put 3 mutineers on a base, it make them look less regular and, more importantly, I get 25% more units, better for a more realistically sided game.

Top notch pictures as always, and best wishes for the success of the new Mutiny rules. I am sad however that one of your always highly enjoyable battle reports did not accompany the pics, but that is only a minor quibble. I am looking forward to trying out (when I get it) the new ACW rules by you, via Foundry.

They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,

Did n't have time for more text I'm afraid, have been under the weather a bit of late. I hope the ACW rules will not disappoint you, we've always enjoyed varrious incarnations of them down the years. The production values of the book really took my breath away, so many diagrams, illustrations, maps, scenarios, flags, photos and the like... But then, I could be said to be ever so slightly biased I suppose.
