2 Paddy fields, 4 Rough Going (DBx), 2 packs Rocks, all 15mm from Miniature World Maker - one RG was a bonus for the delay in sending, so great service.

a couple of Italeri kits - scale is 1/72 and I have added a 28mm Black Tree Design and 1/72 Valiant GI for scale impressions

work with both scales - especially raised on a base (although the low stone house is pushing it with the 28mm)

Great kits, easy to make and paint with lift off roofs for placing figures inside - suit lots of periods too

The stone walls kit (not shown) are excellent value also

I picked up an abandoned factory by Ziterdes which I am very pleased with. It needed a touch of filler here and there but it is very good quality and value. I'll be off work for a while recovering from an OP so I should have plenty of time to paint it etc.
First item I've bought from Ziterdes direct and i can't fault them.

Regards

Finally customs or Homeland Security or whoever has finished playing with the Tabletop World building I ordered for Michael as a Christmas present.  He got it today -- just in time, since he's almost done painting the guard tower or whatever they call it.  It's the Merchant's house, and it looks really nice.  I particularly like the chimney, which has a ton of character.

Gorgeous piece of scenery.  I look forward to seeing it assembled and painted.

A trio of 28mm haystacks from "Table Top Scenery", a local-ish guy who comes out to our local convention (and some of the Vancouver ones; pretty sure he's from Van).

They're some sort of fake fur over a styrofoam core on an MDF base, very solid and gamerproof. I'm planning a small set of North American rural scenery, and these will fit in nicely.

Interesting.  Do you happen to have pictures?

Quick snapshot on my painting bench, so the colour balance isn't perfect but it'll do.

The haystacks are slightly over 2 inches tall; the bases are roughly 3 to 3.5 inches across. That's a Pulp Figures aviator on the left, and a Brigade Games henchman in fez on the right, both largish 28mm.

3 for $10, a fair price for the sort of detail/interesting cover that I'd like to build myself but will realistically never get around to! My only (minor) complaint is that the flock on the base is so green compared to the brown/tan dead straw colour of the haystacks; I have some yellower "dead grass" flock around somewhere that I'll probably partially reflock the bases with.

That is a nice price, and they do look well.  I think I agree with the comment about the base, but I'd be somewhat inclined to add just a hint of spring green to it on one side, to make it look like a formerly covered area is exposed and growing back.

Thank you for posting the picture.
