Thanks. I came across this by accident to be honest...I was looking for a creepy model that could be used as a Winged Nightmare and at a convention I found this one. I had some Gem Jade paint by Auto Air colors lying around for my Death Guard (it's a chameleon color shift paint) and I thought it would look great on a huge fly, so I decided this model would be a suitable Winged Nightmare...I can also use it a a Giant Bug, but I think I'll buy something else for that. It's Cichastus, Fly Demon made by Reaper (http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/cichastus/latest/02744#detail/02744_G).

It's been a really long time since I've painted anything for Strange Aeons, but the Kickstarter project made me want to paint and play the game more (first Kickstarter I've ever backed). Even played a game with a colleague of mine, he really liked the game and has been thinking of buying models for it.
This model I've painted recently will be used as a Shambler and it was given to me by a very generous member called smokezombie a couple of years ago.

Thanks! Good to see you guys still around. I've still got a huge amount of stuff that I still have to paint, both miniatures and scenery. Still haven't really decided if I'm going to do some scenery next of more figures...probably scenery...I need more scenery for my games.

Hey NC! Welcome back! Great work on the fig!

I just jumped on a KS for some scenery that is by some local guys here a few hours from me. They are doing a $50 cemetery set in MDF, not super high end but will look great once painted. They are already working to add some details to the set now.

Thanks a lot people. At the moment I'm painting a pile of crates and then I think I'll try a Shoggoth/ Formless Thing and a some more scenery (shack and maybe a windmill). I really need more scenery for my games.

A hack and a windmill... Sounds like creepy scenery to me! Looking forward to see your progress :) Your rekindled painting log has me also smearing paint on some pulp/Cthulhu miniatures that were laying around here for some time now! ;D

You should indeed honor some pulp/ Cthulhu miniatures with some paint...they deserve it.
I've decided to go for the shack first. Just finished building it...too bad it's such nasty weather today or else I could have primed it already.

Always good to see any new mythos related work, but the paint job on that Shambler is quite stunning, thanks for sharing. And no that the Strange Aeons KS has me all fired up again I'm starting to do some prep work of my own. I have to concur with you that more scenery should be near the top of the list and to that effect I have to say I'm really liking the looks of that shack, would you happen to have any idea who the manufacturer is?
We haul ours to kick theirs.
