Pulp Alley , 60's style KKBB turns 1-3
« on: January 09, 2013, 11:58:28 PM »
............ South America 1964 ..............and so it begins.

Scenario 1 : One of our agents seems to be missing

Bond lifted the accelerator, downshifted to 2nd, then just as quick hit 3rd as he sped through the curve. He let a small smile show as the Aston Martin went sideways down the dirt road, mud, water , gravel all mixed in a slurry pelting the dense jungle. He felt rather then heard Quiller's reproach, he was staring again, a silent plea to slow down. A quick glance revealed he was wrong, Quiller was looking out the back window, only turning to Bond once the VW van made the same turn, slower, and falling behind ........." James, were losing the reaction team .....again".

Damn this rain, this storm, this op, and damn that slow ass VW, and what had Simmons got into? Bond thought as the wipers lost in there attempt to keep up with the rain.

Quiller played with his .45, mindlessly reloading and holstering ..... Little else to do, Simmons call had been brief, frantic "found the microfiche, there on to me....."  Then finally " crossroads...can't find Carlos......Dropbox " then nothing.....

Bond pulled hard on the wheel as he stood on the brakes, sending the Aston off the road .....answering an unasked question he pointed with a quick nod ahead, the "road" was now a small stream.......... "Theres the cantina ...we go on by foot"
Quiller nodded, both readied there weapons ....... Allowing a smile as the VW pulled along side and a mix of CIA and MI-6 agents piled out.....

View from the crossroad

SMERSH arrives

Both sides beeline towards town

No shooting over 18" rain and jungle cover

4 of the 5 plot points were located at the crossroads. (L building roof, inside square building, truck, and carlos at crossroad
The last was in the temple, across the river

Numbers on the cards were used as a weather timer

At every 3 points starting at 6 lightning would strike a 1d10 was rolled on a success, lightning would strike a random tree (burst plot point event coaster sized)

At 40 points the river would be impassable, also anyone that was wounded if trying to cross river, would have to pull a peril (damn piranha's)

Plot points:
Drop Box: opposed cunning test (leader vs leader) player that pulled card if successful / finds microfiche , not successful keep looking
Simmons wallet/locals card game. BURST event, stumbled on locals gambling with Simmons wallet
Family Dog, not very friendly !
Carlos the driver: only plot point on the table and identified (cross roads) waiting for?
Simmons dead? Alive? Wounded? opposed cunning test (leader vs leader) player that pulled card if successful / finds Simmons barely alive, reveals he's swallowed the microfiche not successful / Dead keep looking

Very possible microfiche will never be found (Simmons dead, and empty drop box) he's taken it to the grave......

Bond directed Solo and K to head to the long house..... Crouching he followed the road into town, damn this rain he thought as he squinted ahead ....... A quick glance assured him Quiller was across working his way along the fenced building

K attempts to get to roof

Failing

Smith reaches the roof, about to open up ...... But!

Quiller draws first blood

Racing to the roof, taking two steps at a time...... Smith find Simmons , turning to Bond he yelled "I've got him!".

Simmons through a haze blazes away ........

Palmer reaches the roof to see a street full of SMERSH agents

A hail of gunfire erupts

Solo found the wallet and dispatched the two locals in the truck (no pics dammit!)

Well Cptn - you have some very nice pieces on this table,  o_o o_o

Enjoyed the report, the text as well as the pics, they complemented each other very well. Must have got a bit exciting at the end for you to forget the pics.

Excellent - looking forward to the next one. ;D
