Those models are wonderful! I'd like to think I could grab both sets when they come out.

Those are the mutts danglies, a must buy. A little late, in fact a lot, but I have been reading the Jason Goodwin books (Janissary Tree etc.) recently and it puts me in mind for some Turks.

Would'nt it have still been Constantinople at this time though??

Would be excellent to figure out exactly where Pulp Figures is situated in Kelowna, or at least where they do the minis thing. It's really nice to be where I am. Pulp minis to my left and Strange Aeons to my right ;), each only a few hours drive away.

yes this figure is marvellous! worth buying a couple of packs just for this figure alone! By the way, Bob told me that is planning to do more surprises and this, as far as, I understood, will become a mini series with lots of figures.

Sounds good to me. I guess, some of them could be painted white and used as generic middle-eastern police for pulp settings.  8)

any good suggestions for uniform colours? [I just do not like the khaki uniform with red fez]

I meant the uniforms. White, with red sashes and red fezzes, black or brown boots. I think in Tintin, the Thompson Twins are arrested by some police in similar dress..( after falling asleep at the wheel of a jeep and driving crash through a bazaar or something)?

white uniform with black [police] epaulettes!
did they had any white advisor/officer?

by the way the greek and cypriot police force was initially organised by the british.
greek police was founded in 1924 and they had a light grey uniform with british insignias, black officers epaulettes. the traffic police in full dress had a silver greek style helmet -minus the hair- and in summer white colonial hat -similar to Wolseley helmet.
the cypriot police is still identical to british uniform but with peaked caps.

the only actual photo of historical police force in fez I found is from Cairo police of 1920's [the link to al ahram is somewhere inside this thread] being b/w, shows  something like khaki uniform with dark fez and a band(??) in white uniforms.

Well the khakhi makes sense I suppose. And it certainly makes the fez stand out. Maybe a white shirt and khaki pants?

EDIT: Actually, they're not really wearing shirts, but completely different uniforms. Hmm, I'd probably paint the pants white in that case. Maybe add some other red details?

I guess we'll only know once we've bought them :D
