Two extremes in a row - a magnificent blue and very bulky suit, and this lean, mean dark sniper - they seem to be made to confront each other - grand show.   8) 8) 8)

Love that face - lucky we have a four day weekend (most of us in Mlebourne anyway), right?

Have found something in my collection, undercoated them both and base coat highlight. Now to painting!

#010 Nazi Vampire

Finally a chance for me to paint the most archetypical of Weird War monsters: Nazi Zombies!

The only problem: I don't have any. But after a bit of rummaging in the old Mount Lead, I found this fellow I bought ages ago but never got round to paint.

So here's a Nazi Vampire:

Question to the mods: How inclusive do you see the Weird Wars theme? I have a couple of WW1 Goblins and Halflings from Black Hat; would those be weird enough?

Please see the first page, we had that discussion there. Short version, WWx-flavoured Fantasy is out for this club.

Such great and above all inspirational entries so far! Loving every one of them!

Fool that I am, I decided to do some converting on that one Weird War figure I own. Not going so well, and now I can't undo the damage. Modelling putty hates me. Let's see if maybe I can bodge something together before the contest reaches 100 entries :)

On the subject of "WWx fantasy", I think some of the confusion just stems from divergences in terminology and categorisation within the hobby. Hasslefree market their Kindred and Kollektiv as "Weird War Halflings" and "Weird War Dwarves". But I agree with the ruling that "Gas-and-Trenches Fantasy" is a separate theme from "Weird War".

#011 Corazza Zaino-Razzo Caproni Campini N.0 NC4848 (Italian Para Drop Armour Caproni Campini N.0 NC4848 Jet Pack)

A nice opportunity to finally paint my 193X Italian Weird Wars prototype, inspired by the real Italian thermojet Caproni Campini N.1 (1940) ;)
It will be fine in my yet painted Pulp Alley league "Legio PROMETHEUS"  :D

#012 Bomber Zombie (plastic mini from the Incursion boardgame)
Not too happy with the colours, specially the belts, but I need him to stand out from the standard Zombies.
