Indian Mutiny Project and Blog
« on: January 01, 2024, 09:27:28 PM »
Happy new year all.

I finally thought I'd bite the bullet and start tracking my hobby progress on a blog in 2024.

https://historyinminiatures.blogspot.com/

Been working on my Mutiny project since early September 2023, and have lots already painted (around 9 units for Mutineers and 5 for British).

Its got a long way to go till full completion, since I want to add a lot of flavorful units but the main thing is I am already gaming my solo campaign. As usual I am using Sharp Practice 2 for rules.

Cheers

Just finished up some Gurkha skirmishers and Sikhs for my mutiny project, which saw some action this week in the campaign continuation. (Report will be up soon)

Full update (and better quality images) are over on my blog: https://historyinminiatures.blogspot.com/

Cheers

Saw another clash this weekend between the Mutineer and Brits. A bit of a one-sided game but it has pursued the narrative of the campaign perfectly.

Next on the painting table is some Afghans siding with the Mutineers.

Really enjoying your battle reports and the progress of your campaign. Can I ask where you got your battle mat from? Is it homemade or from a company.

Good to see people still using the old Perry/Wargames Foundry range. Still delightful characterful figures even by todays standards. :)

It was very tempting to go Empress, those miniatures are just wonderful. But a part of me loves the old "chunky" style  lol

Best part about the Foundry stuff is you can use their Afghan War/Taiping/Sikh Wars ranges also for Mutiny. So much of it is appropriate. I have been looking also at the Mutineer range for some of their officers as I am running out of Mutineer sculpts for my officers in Sharp Practice. I think they'll probs work scale wise.
