Oh... BTW...

Look at the closeups of the Aides and Generals and notice how they seat their horses... with the back slight curved and the shoulders back.

These guys obviously know how to ride!   :)

Another reason I love the AB miniatures so much... sculpting awesomeness combined with very real life poses.

Beautiful stuff. ;D
Its hard not be inspired by the massed ranks of Napoleonics. :-*
I admire anyone with the patience to paint rank after rank of these fine chaps.

Remember when you posted the photo of the Hussar for me on the Lead Painter's League thread?  I chuckeled 'cause I was working on this project at that very moment!   :)

Good God, Ray! 15mm??? Those would put plenty of 28mm figures to shame. Lovely figures indeed, and very well painted. What a great collection  :)

Napoleonics is becoming such a tempting venture.

A great looking lot - well done!

I'm okay!

The visor really works!  Took a huge amount of strain off my eyes.

I wouldn't be doing them if they were hurting my eyes!

Some progress... my Corps Commanders and Aide de Camps mounted:

And here is a shot of one of them leading a proper Infantry Corps... 3 divisions of 2 brigades of infantry, 2 batteries and a cavalry brigade.

NOTE:  All infantry painted by Ron Redworth.

Here is a shot of an infantry "brigade."  Grog folk will notice that proportionally it is not correct.  It is off little concern to me as the units in Grande Armée are abstracted... so close is good enough.  Overall, I wanted to try to give the impression of mass with not a lot of figures...  ;)

NOTE:  Infantry painted by Ron Redworth, based by me.

Here is a shot of the cavalry brigade.  In this case French Dragoons.  I painted these a long time ago, so not the greatest:

And finally... a work in progress of my Army Command... with the French Ogre himself!   :o

Soon as I get them finished and based, I'll post some more pics.
