15mm Tiger 1E's
« on: May 17, 2012, 07:28:40 PM »
If not impossible, it would be a feat of superhuman willpower well beyond my meager abilities to paint up a German WWII force without including at least one Tiger tank. In fact, years before I got into Flames of War, I had picked up a single Tiger 1E with Zimmerit model from the then new game system. I painted it up as best I could at the time, but was never really satisfied.
Having recently become airbrush-savvy, I could not resist redoing my Panzer VI to a higher standard.
This is my original Tiger 1E, repainted with newly learned techniques.

I have a second tank that is currenly in progress, should have pics posted soon.
Hope you like! (c&c always welcome)

Update! I've gotten the second tank mostly painted. This is a much newer model from battlefront, and it is a marked improvement on the nearly 10 year old model I first painted.  The new sculpt of the Tiger has far more detail, and many more options for finishing.
You can also tell the the newer tank is a bit bigger than the old model. The hull and turret are sligtly wider, as you can see here:

More pics to come as they're ready
