Great Job Scott! Keep the updates coming, along with any FAQ's.

Since your looking at new archetypes, heres one to consider:

Paragon Archetype

You are a super being of incalculable strength, power and invulnerability! You are a living icon, looked up too by all in the thick of a battle. You are already at the Super Archetype level. Customize your paragon with whatever minor powers best capture the look and feel you are after.

Basic Stats
Move 6”
Body Damage Boxes 7
Psyche Damage Boxes 7

Major Powers

Super-Being: You have Super-Strength (major), Invulnerability (Regen minor power limited to body), and Extended Flight (Flight minor power with 40” move)

Minor Powers (choose three)
Enhanced Senses
Power Blasts
Resistance
Iron Will
X-Factor
Fortune
Melee Specialist
Savant

Backgrounds (choose two)
Alien / Dimensional, Arcane, Art, Athletics, Blue Collar,
Business, Criminal, Espionage, Exploration, High Society,
Journalist, Medicine, Military, Monarch, Performance, Public
Safety, Science, Social Science

Paragon Archetype Maneuvers
Use these maneuvers to battle your most unstoppable foes!

Power Surge

Maximize your super powers to flatten your foe! If you score more attack goals then your opponents defense goals on a body damage attack, your foe loses one additional damage box! Recharge 2+

Mighty Blow

Smash multiple foes with a single blow! You can attack all opponents you are in base contact with in single melee attack. Each opponent makes a separate defense roll against your attack. Recharge 2+

Never Surrender

Just when your opponent thinks he has finished you off, you strike back deadlier then ever! When your last damage box is checked off, take your KO check as normal. If you pass your check, any type of damage you inflict is doubled! Recharge 3+

Notes: A Paragon can only upgrade to a Powerhouse by adding three more minor powers from their own list, or two not on their list. They cannot merge with another archetype.

My thoughts are that the Paragon (Superman, Hyperion, Supreme, Shazam, Wonderman, Icon, etc.) are clearly distinct from the Brick (Hulk, Thing, Solomon Grundy, Blockbuster, Bane, etc.) and deserve a unique archetype that is more representative.

The Paragon archetype is a great idea, but don't you think one major and five minor powers might be a bit much for a Super-level archetype? I'd call it a Powerhouse as is, myself. Great call on the differences between Bricks and Paragons, though.

Umm, double damage for how long?  Just the next attack you make?  Until you finally pass out?  Something else?

Valid point.  Perhaps balance it by giving the enemy a benefit in exchange?  Maybe a dice reroll each turn while interacting with the Paragon, or bonus dice, or something like that?  Call it "You Bring Out The Worst In Me!" and say it in your best Lex Luthor voice.

Remember your next damage after you pass a KO check you're out for good. You might be out before you can even use this if attacked before your next turn. With a re-charge of 3+, it will be not real likely you get more than one shot anyway before your done in.

Give the Paragon something from the Fault & Limit List (page 221) like Weakness (Kryptonite!), Only X or Unreliable. This should be a fair trade off and very thematic!
