Sorry guys, I don't mean to be a tease, I have just been doing some experimenting with the different permutations I can recreate. I should hopefully have sufficient variants for some line up w.i.p. shots over the weekend. :)

I know, I know, and to make matters worse I routinely take my sculpting to tinker with at lunchtimes at work. Guess who in the rush this morning packed tools and materials but forgot to pack sculpts to work on! :-[ :'(. I'm itching to crack on but now have to sit there and twiddle my thumbs. I could kick myself...AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

Even more than when you DO remember to take everything that you need and then cant be bothered to do anything as your mojo has upped and left.

I am so looking forward to seeing this converted army coming together. I absolutely love those old school Lund models.

As promised the first installment of some wip pics of the converted Nick Lund orcs...
First one of the simplest - the swordsman model, pose untouched but with added variation to headgear in green stuff. From L to R
; original, w mail hood, w leather hood, w fur cap

Next, by cutting and reposing the R hand and substituting various weapons...

Next by swapping the R hand with a spearman's R hand, plus a trial head swap with the archer figure (3rd and 4th fig). N.B the Uruk-hai weapon on the extreme L is made from scrap plastic basing material.

Next by carefully cutting out the entire R arm and belt pouch and substituting a GW lizardman drummer's arm. The junction at the shoulders is masked by additional leather wings in green stuff ( I will be adding studding detail and filling in any gaps etc.). I will also be adding a green stuff gauntlet to the R hand to mask the lack of an extra digit. The original swordsman back right of photo for ref.

A trumpeter made from a swordsman with a substitute GW Beastman trumpeter's R arm

The same idea but with a spearman torso and hood in green stuff. I've also cut the head and drilled and pinned it into a different position, masking the join with a hood added in green stuff

A small group of spearman with arms repositioned and substitute weapons and shields from the shield pack

Your Green Stuff work & weapon swaps are SPLENDID....they really transform the minis, raising them to a higher level. It's rather a shame the poses are unalterable. That aside, GREAT WORK!
