Operation MANDRIL- 20mm Modern Imagi-Nation Adventures
« on: May 01, 2024, 11:59:19 PM »

20mm SPECTRE Project the Third. This all began because I wanted to paint green Foxhounds. Another project I spent ages rewriting as I'm not a fan of gaming ongoing conflicts (or thinly veiled proxies thereof), and kept getting overtaken by current events in various places. I should really just stick to the Cold War and WWII...

A daring rescue, a collapsing timeframe, impossible odds. The clock is ticking and the world is watching...

Our Man In Country. MI6 HUMINT asset; while Direct Action may not be the preferred option, sometimes it's the only one...

20mm Elhiem agent, one of Matt's most useful sculpts, I think I have about 4 of him for various applications!

SF have eyes on, wait out... Covertly inserted some months previously, elements of the Special Reconnaissance Regiment  have been gathering intel on both sides, but now a rapid retasking beckons...

Elhiem US JTACs repurposed into some SRR operators, with some appropriate recce and comms gear.
Proudly not painting Wars of The Roses since... ever

I also have a few of that agent figure. It's a great miniature and you did a cool paint job on it.

Thanks guys, quite enjoying being back at the ultramoderns for a while. Still got quite a bit to paint up before I can getca game on though... o_o

I also have a few of that agent figure. It's a great miniature and you did a cool paint job on it.

Thanks! I went for a "tactical outdoors" look with the sage softshell and grey walking trousers; inconspicuous enough to stay hidden out in the field, while remaining plausibly civilian...

Nice.
Only just noticed they are 20mm not 28mm which is what I thought.

Brilliant work on these, particularly getting the greentext screen on the SRR laptop
