Ah cool. Yeah I don't bother with either of the York clubs. I went to Garrison once but didn't really like the "Win At All Costs" attitude of the guys I played a game with so haven't gone back. I might try the other one at some point. I mainly play in a small group of friends.
We'll have to get together for a 15mm sci-fi game when I get more together/painted. At the moment all I've got is one of those walkers and a platoon of those power armoured lizard guys from Critical Mass (Vapnartak ) These ones

Could be a while.
That's a sweet pic of them all lined up like that.
I find competitive gaming a massive turn-off along with overly complex rule systems. I much prefer playing when the result is secondary, the most important thing being that myself and my fellow players had an enjoyable (ideally balanced) game. I'm tending to avoid games and games system that don’t give that, or provoke stress between players.
PM me when you've got your guys assembled/painted, and we can organise a get together. I would recommend the use of magnets with the Walker. At the very least do the torso, it makes for a far more satisfying model. The first two I did of mine are totally glued up, something I regret now. Retrospective fitting whilst not impossible would be very difficult. You can get appropriately sized magnets off E-Bay at low cost.
I've posted previously that I'm currently using the FUBAR Expanded Sci-fi rules. Easy to get into and they provide a reasonable result. Would try another set if you wanted though.
Glad you like the pic, here's another
Kind regards
