Using the Victrix Bavarian models (with the Austrian unit list) I wanted the unit to have more of napoleonic army special unit look. The official models look more like generic gothic warband to me.
The unit is: an officer (mounted and unmounted), dhamphir, tactician, occultist, and three infantryman.
For the dhamphir, I went with a blood bowl dark elf lineman head. The dark elf head is slightly bigger than the body but that might not stand out as much once painted. Besides, maybe big headedness is a result of his dhamphirism? I went back and forth on his helmet. Decided to keep it fantasy for a little fantastical/supernatural element to the unit. Maybe those helmets are assigned to dhamphirs in the Bavarian army?
Anyway, here’s the WIP.

The monk is from the victrix dark ages saxon bag.
The dhamphir looks better primed and good at arms/table length. I think he’ll be fine for gameplay.

As ever a uniform undercoat makes a kit bashing sit together better.

Thinking the unit is a collection of soldiers that hunt what goes bump in the night, I wanted to lean into a more dark/muted color scheme rather than the bold, bright colors I saw online of Napoleonic era Bavarians. Fortunately, I came across the cover of the following Osprey book, and the gentleman on the left had similar colors to what I had in mind.

The dhamphir's blue skin helps him stand out in the unit and I appreciate how the model using a musket as a one-handed weapon implies a supernatural strength. The monk, I was thinking I might actually do in dark blue robes to match the others, but opted to stick with traditional browns so the unit retains a historical feel and doesn't dip too far into fantasy.
My brushwork isn't the best on the site, but I like the results.

Excellent! Your brushwork looks very good to me. I concur with your monk's robe color choice.
I hope you'll permit a uniform suggestion from an old grognard: Bavarian officers wore sashes of mixed silver and light-blue threads (the blue-and-white color combination being a big deal in Bavaria, as a glance at the imported beer aisle will immediately confirm...).

I see you went with the artillery Uniform. The darker colors help to hide all the grave dust and pyres that they burn the bodies of their monsteruis foes on. :D

As I sit here typing this email on an IPad in Bavaria ( or rather Franconia as my neighbors would quickly correct me) I can only concur with you and the Archduke of Earl. Excellent choices, excellent concept, excellent execution.

Here's my initial thoughts, but keep in mind this was only _one_ game and I was learning it while playing, so am certain to have made some mistakes.
The combat mechanic is interesting in that you roll two d10s (they have to be different colors...one for 'power' and one for 'skill') to beat an opponent's defensive value and if successful, you apply the value of either the power die or the skill die (depending on the weapon used) as the damage. After reading Joe's love of Silent Death in WI #400 it seems like he tried his own variant of a "one roll to-hit and damage" system here in Silver Bayonet. It's a very light game. Not a lot of weapon or skill options. I guess this can be a strength for simplicity. The scenarios are odd in that they don't really have end goals, that I could locate, nor are there 'route' or 'bottle' rules so you just keep playing until you're either wiped out or you move your models off the table. I guess there's choice there in campaign play where you don't want injuries to add up, but in one-off it made the end game a little boring. We had investigated all the tokens to investigate so then just attacked each other til there were no models left on the board. Next time I'll suggest an end goal.
Each scenario has investigation points scattered about where models investigate and they can get magic items to use in the scenario, some event could happen, or some creatures could attack. We had two revenants and a ghost appear on the map and get involved. This may be the first time I've actually gamed one of these skirmish systems where these NPCs come into play. In this scenario I tended to ignore the creatures and focus on the other unit.
I had a good time playing, the game is really light and I didn't feel there were much in the actual rules to enforce too much gothic horror, but it's possible we played the fear/horror rules incorrectly. I would think this game shines in campaign play over one-offs.

Love Bavarians, have a small 1/72 Hät Bavarian division.
The artillery uniforms are certainly more dark and 'brooding', than the cornflower blue habits - I think something nice could be done with Jägers, too, though - very fitting for the kind of encounters of this game? Not dissing your Bavarians, just thinking aloud :)
