What is the relationship between Hamburg and Marshal Davout?
He commanded and defended the HAMBURG military district in the Napoleonic Wars. For a short time Hamburg was even a French Département! There are still some linguistic remains form this time…
From what I could gather, it is an island "centerpiece" for naval battles.
What is the relationship between Hamburg and Marshal Davout?
Will there be a bring and buy this year?

Its the girl from Ipanema... ;)
Actually I cant recall her origin.
It might be Reaper. I can remember she had a solid socket.
Good morning !
Youre not bugging me.
The Conan Henchmen are Artizan Moores.
The big guy in the center is Reaper. I also use him as Conan in traditional clothing of the area south of the Vilayet.
The Turanians are Black Tree Moores.
The leader is the El Cid giveaway....I think Black Tree too. I think he makes a good aristocratic Turanian leader.
Cheers
Björn
Who painted this? It's superb :-*The great vikotnik painted that looker. :-*
Any details on the Viking game with all those beautiful longboats? ;DIt is based in the so called "hammaburg", a Dark Age version of Hamburg, when the vikings raided it. I think tey played with a rule-version of Clash of Empire and Saga, but I'm not really saw it. It was build by serveral guys, one guy is Frank Bauer, one of the Organisators of the Tactica. It was a huge table, a real eye-candy...

Super photos! Great boards and mini's. Must have been superb!
And Tellus... you've been painting a Roman army and not posting photos here... >:(
;)
Sorry to keep making the comparison, but why can't British shows aspire to this level of consistent excellence in presentation?
Is it because the German gaming ethic is rooted in aesthetic appeal, whereas the British have never really moved on from the wargame as a competitive activity played on upturned subbuteo cloths?
Thanks for posting the photos! I'm greedy though and want to see more! ;D
I'm still greedy. ;D
More! More! More!
Ah!
Hope you are well, mate!
And can find a new project to paint up and post! :)
Get another clone. One to work. One to paint.
You can sit back and game.
@artshiraz + driscoles
sorry to chime in so late, that makes perfect sense. Someone took artshiraz rulebook
and my colonial supplement, sad, sad...
maybe his collection is now complete....
I have plenty, from Tactica and Miniatur Wunderland. However, it's a busy week so I can't edit and upload everything at once. Is there something specific you're looking for? I can start from that part...
So, for those that ran games at Tactica, did the game go as you thought or did the players take you off in an unexpected direction (as seems to happen soooo often at convention games)?Speaking for our Trojan War game: Since we weren't staging a simulation (don't think anyone there did) players were free in their decision making. With the mission cards given to each player we just tried to add a bit of flavour, both of the Mycenaean period and Homer's Iliad. So, on one (admittedly, extreme) occasion, after Achilles had been revealed he got killed by Hector. We didn't expect that, but it was a great moment - and that's what it should be all about me thinks.
