What is the relationship between Hamburg and Marshal Davout?

You fail to understand the relationship between Davout and Wargaming?

Its the girl from Ipanema...  ;)

Actually I cant recall her origin.

It might be Reaper. I can remember she had a solid socket.

Hey Driscoles,

Sorry to bug you but I've been think about these minis all day.
Where did Conan's henchman and the Turanians come from.
You really hit the nail on the head with these guys.  :-*

Good morning !
Youre not bugging me.
The Conan Henchmen are Artizan Moores.
The big guy in the center is Reaper. I also use him as Conan in traditional clothing of the area south of the Vilayet.
The Turanians are Black Tree Moores.
The leader is the El Cid giveaway....I think Black Tree too. I think he makes a good  aristocratic  Turanian leader.
Cheers
Björn

Driscoles, I really look forward to hang around at your table and have a game! I already had a look at some of the miniatures last autumn in person and can confirm that they are a treat!

However, I have the pleasure to present a game on the brilliant Bruegelburg table of the Prof. himself and have some miniatures painted up, among them MEL GIBSON cunningly disguised as 'Dulle Griet' who will be played by one of the gamers:

There will be an antagonist as well:

...and a bit of supporting cast:

I even sculpted a Moonman to act as the ultimate villain:

The game will be entirely based on the Bruegelburg line by Lead Adventure Miniatures The story will be called 'The Hunt for the Moonman', be sure to come along and have a game!

Greetings

My, Vikotnik. I think I like the jester best. They are all top notch, mind you. I love the rusty sword on Mel Griet  :D and the face/expression on the last character above Moonman is just this side of amazing. But I like the jester best. So there.
Where do those base come from ?

Hmmm Tactica... one more week and I will get more than an eyeful of eye candy :o ;D :-* lol
And my wallet will be more than empty.
I promise though to make pictures.... LOTS of pictures  :D

Greetings

I was at the Tactica and what an amazing Show this was.

It was huge, it was loud, it was filled and it was great. And next year I will return.

The start was a bit of a problem as Wilhelmsburg, the part of Hamburg where the Tactica was held, was something like a construction frenzy. I arrived with a bus (no rail and Tram this week) only to discover one construction site beside the other. But thanks to very helpful people I found the location.  :D

My heartfelt thanks go to the Prof who kindly allowed my rucksack to rest under the booth table while my back and myself made a beeline through traders and tables.

The tables ... I can't describe it. Overwhelming is the first thing in mind. The absolute eye-catcher was the Dystopian War table. I'm still mesmerized by the water. Everything on those islands were this side of perfect. Having someone near the table explaining which part of which toy they used for what part made it so more interesting. And amusing sometimes.

The THS table was HUGE. A Napoleonic retreat. Row after row after row after row of miniatures. Details, more details. Amazing. Then the Vikings attacking the Hammaburg... stunning. Then the Pardulon Ghetto, the Tabletop-Fantasywelten FreebootersFate Table... now that was an Imperial City. Then, and, also .... too much :o  o_o :-* lol

Don't tell, show us. I hear ye! The pictures I made are right here.

My personal highlight though was the small Bruegelburg Game moderated by Vikotnik and camoudragon. Right beside the LAM booth it was a sight to behold when Vikotnik explained the rules and camoudragon made the relevant soundeffects for that magnificent Movieproduction. Mel Gibson was great, but so was the Moon Man.

Now the people.. I got to speak with the Prof, with Michael (from Miniaturicum), Vikotnik and camoudragon. Got also a few words with people from other (German) forums like Sorendir @ Sweetwater. I saw Grimm and Frank and suppose I saw Driscoles. But couldn't speak to neither as they had constantly a gaggle of groupies around them  :D ;) (Just joking though they were surrounded.)

Not everything worked as perfect as I hoped. Some of the preorders I made were incomplete or had been forgotten. In most cases that was no problem.
Another thing was the sheer amount of traders. Due to time constraint I couldn't enjoy as much as I hoped. I remember raging silently in the Train Saturday Evening.  While returning home I browsed the catalogs from Magister Militum and found a multitude of interesting things. An opportunity missed.

But Tactica was expensive. Most went to Foundry Paints and LAM Miniatures. Then a few pieces of scenery from Thomarillion, a Tactica T-Shirt and the Marshall Davout Miniature. And somewhere along the table-looking and miniature shopping I waylaid a new bought Triumph & Tragedy rulebook. I guess the one who found it will be happy. I will have to buy a new copy.

So that's my report from the Tactica 2012. I have already started working on my wife and with luck she will accompany me next year.

Have fun looking at the pictures, I had fun taking them.
