Says it all really.
I'll be wanting a small steamer to crawl along the river and allow Natives to throw sharp pointy things at.
Suggestions for models please gentlemen?
Thanks, James

Another vote for John Jenkins, although i'd be looking at the river Launch, and i'll have to get the guy with the gin and tonic to go with it, priceless!

Saying that though, the price and models by pmcgames are excellent.

You can see a photo of this on this AAR. Scroll down to the 8th photo. (In this case the roof has been removed)

It is, the whole thing comes in about 8 pieces.
-
James
If you don't win the one you are bidding for do let me know. I have a spare John Jenkins steamer we could come to an agreement about if it would fit the bill.

Bezzo
That is a marvellous gunboat

Thanks for that.
I've just had my bid accepted. What did you do with yours? Spray undercoat etc?
-
Thanks for that.

I've just left it as it came. I haven't used it enough to go to anymore effort than that!

If I remember rightly I added deck planks, altered the layout of the funnel, added coal/fuel bunker, steam engine and large cleats and bollards then all the bits were glued to appropriate deck but I left the second deck off. Actually that is what I did to the PMC steamer not the John Jenkins!!!!!!!!!!! If I read things correctly and used my brain I could be dangerous.

John - photos my man, photos.
You know i've never had an original gaming idea.
Actually, im quite pleased with the one i bought. I've had my eye on that model for some time. I can now do a scenario based on Conrad's Heart of Darkness. And i won't now buy one of fabulous but huge steamers :D

I scratch-built one a few years back. Never finished it, but it is still playable:

Cultists on the river steamer Glorie (http://www.flickr.com/photos/coreyburger/2482651850/) by burgundavia (http://www.flickr.com/people/coreyburger/), on Flickr
Base is 1/2" pink foam with laminate countertop for the wood surface. Cabin and paddleboxes are card. Please excuse the terrible picture, it was taken with my old camera. I appear to have no recent pictures.

If I knew how to do the photo thing I'd do it, if you want to see it I'll take it to WH on Thursday.

I also did one from scratch, now I'll have to do anotherone for myself as I gave this one away last year.

yes yes you're all very competent :)

Does anyone have a painted example of this model. I'm thinking white for the buildings, grey for the funnel/paddle casings. Black for the hull?
Then dirtied down
