...and you have to choose between these :'(
-
I dont know for whom I vote.
Both are great entries.
-
Brother murder? Organiser Battle? Bloody hell (no pun intended)
-
This was tough, really tough
-
:o
Captain that is some smooth painting there. It would appear that it takes the Great War to get you to use subdued colors, and even then they're vibrant! I love the contrast between the different uniforms.
Prof, that is simply a great panorama there. Great painting and scene.
Well done both. I won't be voting on this one for a few days :P
-
Tough one! Had to vote Captain in the end because his painting style always manages to make me gasp.
-
Wow...the dioramas on both are amazing. Sorry I couldn't vote for both!
Mike Demana
-
A very difficult choice...
-
That was the hardest decision I've had to make. Both are amazing!
-
:o
No way ... can I make a choice here.
I love those Forgotten and Glorious figures and you've done them beautifully Captain.
Alex has, in the meantime, taken on epic production values!
Both amazing.
-
I don't need this angst on a sunday afternoon :o Fantastic work the both of you, another epic draw is on the cards :-*
Who makes the WW1 frogs Richard? They are the testicule du chien 8)
Alex, that's an outstanding shot, love it. :-*
-
Both are fantastic! How to choose?
-
I'm sorry, the third round with nervbreaking match. really don't know, which one. Both are fantastic... Hope I find a decision untill next weekend
-
Are you kidding me?! :o :-* How do you choose here? Top form gents.
-
It's very hard to choose !!!
The most beautiful mini's of the round !!!
Congratulation for both painters !!!
Bye
Nonox
-
This is soooo hard. These are two stellar entries.
-
Impossible to choose, yet must vote somehow. Will have to come back to this one.
When I first saw Captains entry thought, sorry Prof but this one has definetly got the vote, then I scroll down, and Wow! The Profs best entry so far.
I will be back :D
-
Stunning!
:o :o :o :o
The level of both these entries - I'm at a loss for words.
-
OMG lead porn!!!
-
lol Alex, what a crowd scene! You are the Cecil.B.DeMille of the wargames painting world! Fantastic technicolor entry, and an honour to compete with you, as ever :)
Who makes the WW1 frogs Richard? They are the testicule du chien 8)
They are made by French company called Forgotten Glorious. Franck from FG very kindly sent me a set of these figures gratis almost exactly a year ago - even though I told him I'd probably never paint them. Well, he was right and I was wrong! ;)
I decided to try to show a variety of uniforms and the transition from the various French uniforms that started the Great War, as well as famous 'horizon blue' in which they ended it...

Who makes the Roman figures?
-
You two have been steadily uping the ante with your painting skills round by round and just seem to be getting better with each one
A really difficult choice and the match of the round
its a shame I had to choose
-
In a word...
Awesome! :-*
-
No one does deserve lo "lose" this round.
Both top quality entries.
Mmmm... Where's the "Draw" button?
Best wishes.
-
My gods, both are stunning. :-*
I could be happy voting for either though happier to vote for both. In the end had to go with Rome. They're both excellent paint jobs, atmospheric setting, the bustling depth of the Roman setting swung it for me, but it stayed a 'tie' for a long time to find the time breaker.
-
I love these two pics, you two chaps leave me in awe....I shall shut up :)
-
I think I've looked at this matchup about eight times today, at work this afternoon and now at home. I've voted on every single other Round 8 matchup except this one.
I think I'll keep looking for a few more days. Maybe a "Both" button will materialize, like a police box...
-
Not fair-how can you choose between two such great scenes :o. There really needs to be a way to give a tie vote or some such to reward to both for such fantastic work.

Thanks, Richard, the same for you :)
Who makes the Roman figures?
Foundry. The mounted one is Aventine, but also Copplestone sculpt using Foundry dollies.
-
Just WOW! Two brilliant pictures and as I already expected…there will be a final picture of the city of Rome with 1000+ miniatures from the Alex ;D
-
Ahh, this is hard choice as both are simply superb! :o
Christopher
-
Amazing! Both groups are excellently painted, the frenchmen are very impressive and indeed both colourful and still a bit dull and grimy in a perfect balance. The romans are as great as all the previous entries but the diorama shot really pulls out all the stops, wonderful!
-
Good work - tough choice!
