Hi all,
I started drawing up plans a few weeks ago to build the farmhouse from the Night of the living dead 1990 remake. It will hopefully be the centre piece of a modular gaming board i'm planning on putting together, which at some stage will also include the barn, outhouse/shed and gas pump.
Still in the early stages, but the plan is to have a removable roof and first floor.

Bloody good start :-*
And the exact amount of detail I try to strive for myself, but usually fail with (always is maybe more accurate). Do look forward to follow this. And I +1 the Snoozing Dragons question about the details :)

This is begining to look seriously promising.

Everything has been drawn using Auto CAD at home and then laser cut out of various thickness' of acrylic (1.5mm,.8mm.5mm for the posts) at work (in my own time i promise! ;D), only to be brought back home and assemble using dichloromethane.

what about the columns? they are detailed in all the 4 sides, how can you do them with a usual laser cutter? :D

Yep, columns and all. The scribing detail has been applied to the front and back components, while any side detail comes from laminating of the parts together. Ive also incorperated a 'locking in' grove to the sides of the top and bottom of the coloumns to add strength to it and also help the balustrading locate into each one.

oh, i see. That's brilliant! =)
what material did you use?
