I'd rather have a nice print edition of Supersystem 3; can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Edit: changed title, as its now changed to encapsulate all of my Superproject.

It is sold as a PDF, I think it is just $10.....you can take it to a copy place and they can print the PDF in a nice book format or even binding for a fee...some people go with the spiral binding. Me, I print mine out in color, hole punch them and put them in a folder.

If you will settle for Edition 2 - I have a hard copy.
Both editions are eminently playable.
And yes, Edition 3 (which I also have) seems to only be PDF.
Gracias,
Glenn

Ah, that explains why my recent search has also been in vain, typical ::)
I know you can get pretty decent copies of PDF's run off at copy shops these days but I still prefer a proper, professionally printed rulebook. Yeah, I'm a rulebook snob lol

A copy place can make that happen.....at least in a nice softback format.

With Edition 3 your options are:
1) PDF :-I
2) Nothing. :o
Just the facts. :-[ I prefer printed also but have had to settle for PDF several times. :'( >:(

I think a very small print run was made when third first came out.
-
Well, that's kind of too bad. I like pretty, nicely bound, full colour books. They just look nicer on the shelf. :)
All of that being said... there are 3 copies of Supersystem 2 at the Sentry Box, local to me.
What are the differences, and what would I be missing in v3.0?
-
Yes, there was a small print run of SS3. It was spiral-bound, if memory serves me correctly.
As far as the changes, Scott may chime in and give you the skinny (direct from the horse's mouth, so to speak).

Scott says on this.."I have only done very short runs of 3rd by myself. Really, though, I prefer the spiral bounds I've been doing. Easier to game with."

Funny how this thread has reminded me that i was to get with Scott over a year ago about the very same thing.
Scott said about 3rd was " It cleans up and streamlines the rules. Also adds more detail, but those "harder" powers are simple to ignore."
But as stated, i am sure he will chime in as well here shortly. :-)

I look forward to meeting him!

Biggest difference is you attack only once per round. You can use AP normally for movement and such, but you're limited to that one attack per round.
Things are a bit more stratified in 3rd as well, as powers are divided up into stuff a normal human could reasonably have, and then the truly super powers.
If you have any other specific questions, just ask. Thanks for your interest!

When will a solo mode appears ? lol
QUestion is also for Dungeon Delves lol ;)
I already owned SS3, I really like your products and want to support, but I'm a lone cowboy so except a few test games I cannot really play... :'(

I just bought a PDF from Saber's Edge; waiting (impatiently lol ) for my download.
Adobe has "booklet" printing now! I have a stapler that can reach into the booklet for a classic, 1970s looking rules book. ;)

Now to hunt down some Heroclix - really hoping Barnes & Noble has them in Orlando!
Edit: Coliseum of Comics in Kissimmee looks to have Heroclix, so a-shopping I will go!

Grant, I have plenty of figures and profiles put together for SS3. We'll have to arrange a game or ten. :)
-
You can also look into a number of POD (Print on Demand) printing services that can turn those rules into a nice soft- or hard-cover book. Lulu.com and lightningpress are two that come to mind. But a lot of local printers offer some good services as well.

You're on!
Enjoying Macy's free wifi in sunny, scorching hot Orlando.
I scored 25ish clix today, almost all were 50c each, and the. A couple for a bit more. I nearly bought the Invisible Wonder Woman jet because it was just cool!
Bad guys, good guys, scientists, and... a team of all-females! Plus a nice Ironman. And a Modoc for my evil genius boss >:(
What I'm missing are he big guys: Captain America, Hulk, Batman, Doctor Doom, Doc Octopus. Will have to find those. Had the chance to get a Spider-Man but he was $10. Too much for a strip and paint.
Let the super-adventures begin!

I am unloading several boxes of Supers (including a couple of those you listed.) PM me and let's talk the realities of postage (always the biggest challenge.)

We just each pay postage for swapping sounds fair.

I was just in Disney for 8 days, so went to Coliseum and picked up some cheapies. Also had my buddy Bob send me around 100!
I think I might have everything I could ever need now ...
Still missing a Captain America if it comes down to it. Other than that? Maybe a Wasp?
Let me plough through some of these and see what I come up with!
Anything you are looking for?

Shot you a PM with what I saw on your blog that looked like doubles, you may have more off to the side I am not aware of....dropped you a list of what I do have and asked if you have a lit of stuff you are looking for...8)
-
I've got boxes of double clix too, and happen to live in the same city as you Grant. Let me know when you get back and I'll try to dig it up. It's got to be around here somewhere...
-
Cool. We can do some trading. There's a few figures I don't have
Flash
Wasp
Captain America
I have quite a few doubles, lots that are untouched. Penguin, riddler, Harley Quinn, other stuff.
