I'd rather have a nice print edition of Supersystem 3; can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Edit: changed title, as its now changed to encapsulate all of my Superproject.

It is sold as a PDF, I think it is just $10.....you can take it to a copy place and they can print the PDF in a nice book format or even binding for a fee...some people go with the spiral binding. Me, I print mine out in color, hole punch them and put them in a folder.

If you will settle for Edition 2 - I have a hard copy.

Both editions are eminently playable.

And yes, Edition 3 (which I also have) seems to only be PDF.

Gracias,

Glenn

Ah, that explains why my recent search has also been in vain, typical  ::)

I know you can get pretty decent copies of PDF's run off at copy shops these days but I still prefer a proper, professionally printed rulebook. Yeah, I'm a rulebook snob  lol

A copy place can make that happen.....at least in a nice softback format.

With Edition 3 your options are:

1) PDF   :-I

2) Nothing.   :o

Just the facts.   :-[  I prefer printed also but have had to settle for PDF several times.   :'(   >:(

Well, that's kind of too bad. I like pretty, nicely bound, full colour books. They just look nicer on the shelf.  :)

All of that being said... there are 3 copies of Supersystem 2 at the Sentry Box, local to me.

What are the differences, and what would I be missing in v3.0?

Yes, there was a small print run of SS3. It was spiral-bound, if memory serves me correctly.

As far as the changes, Scott may chime in and give you the skinny (direct from the horse's mouth, so to speak).

Scott says on this.."I have only done very short runs of 3rd by myself. Really, though, I prefer the spiral bounds I've been doing. Easier to game with."

Funny how this thread has reminded me that i was to get with Scott over a year ago about the very same thing.
Scott said about 3rd was " It cleans up and streamlines the rules.  Also adds more detail, but those "harder" powers are simple to ignore."

But as stated, i am sure he will chime in as well here shortly. :-)

Biggest difference is you attack only once per round. You can use AP normally for movement and such, but you're limited to that one attack per round.

Things are a bit more stratified in 3rd as well, as powers are divided up into stuff a normal human could reasonably have, and then the truly super powers.

If you have any other specific questions, just ask.  Thanks for your interest!

I just bought a PDF from Saber's Edge; waiting (impatiently lol ) for my download.

Adobe has "booklet" printing now! I have a stapler that can reach into the booklet for a classic, 1970s looking rules book.  ;)

Now to hunt down some Heroclix - really hoping Barnes & Noble has them in Orlando!
Edit: Coliseum of Comics in Kissimmee looks to have Heroclix, so a-shopping I will go!

Downloaded but not printed as I am off to the airport very shortly. Printing will occur when I get home!

As an addendum, I now know what my Daleks will be used for!
