So the second one is beginning in three days time. Here goes more money.
I want more monsters, I imagine it might have a more sci fi feel to it. I don't venture onto the reaper forums so don't have much of a clue (if any)

The main words were bigger, badder, better, with some hints about more large monsters.
There was also this picture:

Supposedly this is a new large nJulie Guthrie sculpt (Chimera or Hydra)

Pikachu?
-
tiamat
-
probably a dragon but looks a bit like the profile of a goblin....
-
looks like Spiderman's Hobgoblin ... lol
-
Chimera, methinks
-
I'd go with chimera as well. But the silhouette leaves it pretty open.

WONDERFUL! I can foresee forty or more pages of angst!

this. And i will not follow those. Ew.
-
Except for the first page. ;)
I imagine it could go either way for this kickstarter. Lots of understandably unhappy people but others that missed out last time. Price will be a lot more I imagine for the same amount.

There's lovely mental image.
Would look good on the tabletop too. :D

A little over 22 hours until the start of the Kickstarter !!!!!
-
When I calculate what I paid for Bones I, and how much I've sold some of the models for, I broke even on 8 of the medium-big monsters. So I got all those human-sized and smaller figures for free.
On the other hand, I'll be dipping into those for years - I kickstarted my own plastic mountain!
I'm unsure whether to get into this one, or just wait and buy the dozen or so figures I really want. We'll see. But I was really happy with what I got.
-
It just started a few minutes ago and it goes crazy fast!!! They’re going to jam Kickstarter site… and probably leave the peoples at Reaper with a lot of work to do to keep up with the updates… lol
-
No sci-fi figures yet :'(
-
I missoud out last time, will NOT be repeating that mistake again! Already in for september sipping, we'll see if that date holds up
-
I'm still not fond of the material or interested in making such a big purchase of figs I mostly won't use, but I AM interested in new figures. Will there be any way of keeping track of which figures are entirely new? For instance, I think those mouse warriors and the "Lords of Darkness" are all new?
-
No sci-fi figures yet :'(
This.
Surely a lot of people who own a bazillion fantasy figs from the last Kickstarter are having buyers remorse for the last couple of weeks. The best way to get them back in would be to swamp them with sci-fi stuff this time I would have thought.
At least, thats what I was hoping for. Jet bikes, walkers etc. But more ranger/cleric/thief/barbarian types again - ho hum. I wanted ranger/cleric/thief/barbarian types from space this time godammit.
-
well, it's understandable that they use the existing sculpts of whch they have several boat-loads... therefore the smaller figs I expect to be again mainly reprints of fantasy metals. I wouldn't mind some new scifi stuff either. Interesting to see what big stuff they're gonna make this time.
So far nothing to get excited over though after the first ks.
-
There is a set of Mouselings in metal.
Isn't their intent to eventually convert all their metal to "bones"? I expect a ratio of something like 2/3rd existing and 1/3rd new stuff.
-
As far as the last KS went, I bought into it at the last minute. And added to my order afterwards. I was pleased with the way it was run and the pledges fulfilled. Since then, however, I have been having trouble getting more of the bones locally. I've been trying to get multiples of the not-Driders (Arachnids, IIRC) but the distributor appears to have dropped the ball as my local has had the order in for a while now with no sign of them on the horizon.
I also wonder how these big camapigns harm local stores. I remember that Miniature Giant stated that sales were down something like 60% last year during Reaper's first Bones campaign. I hope they don't suffer this year as well.
-
Does anybody know if they take credit card? No PayPal for me... :-[
-
They use Amazon payments, not Paypal for the kickstarter. You should be fine.
-
Hmm, no free shipping to Canada this time. Boo. Not even subsidizing the shipping cost (say, subtract the US cost of shipping from the international cost of shipping). double Boo.
I will have to check and see how they will be shipping this time. If its via UPS, and we pay shipping, and duties are up to us, I will likely pass, as the duties will be silly and will remove much of the value on a huge pile of miniatures of which I will likely not use 90%.
I am surprised to see how fast this thing is going up though... I thought more people would be saturated with bones miniatures from last time.
-
I'm annoyed by the lack of non fantasy options as well although there are a lot of minis in there I would like to have. I don't know if I'm going to opt in this time but if I do I'm certainly going to get some of the large monster add on options. It look like they have made some of these new designs with the material in mind and I'm all for that as well. I really want to see some sci-fi, western, and modern options though.
-
i'm in - but I could only get into Wave 3 shipping!
-
Fingers crossed for Bones CAV (mech figures). Happy with the Deadlands add's (especially as their cost free), but really want CAV. :D

Good point about shipping. I've asked about whether UPS is the default or only option. If it is I'll be opting out. I've been stung by UPS's outrageous fees before!
-
Ups for me would be hundreds. USPS will probably as well but I remember once getting a quote from privateer press for a card of a hordes miniature, around $150. I guess because ups don't travel this way. I wish they had a postage amount on the last package.
Always the option of the dollar pledge and then just getting big things I want.
-
To the best of my knowledge, they have no plans to stop metal production or do a full conversion to plastic.
-
I took a quick look at it but it was almost entirely fantasy figures. I have more than enough from the last Reaper campaign. I like the Bones figures very much, and if they were doing a different genre, sci-fi or modern, I might consider it. As it is now though I'll not likely be in on this one.
-
24 days to go for add ons... :D
-
To the best of my knowledge, they have no plans to stop metal production or do a full conversion to plastic.
I think they stated that they were not going to stop metal, but i thought the whole point of the KS was to get money to convert the ranges over...
-
Reaper replied to my PM already, nice. USPS to Canada at least (I assume its the same for elsewhere).
My guess is somewhere around $40 for the shipping. My bones I box was pretty huge.
-
Not stating how much the shipping is turns me off, especially as its overseas, also the actual cost will be stated so that additional taxes. I expect they will have a very successful run but I think I will give it a miss this time and pick up the few figures I am actually interested in when they hit the UK.
-
I put in a pledge to follow the whole thing, and to hold a place if I decide to actually get the base package. Still not sure if I will keep it or drop out though...
-
I hope they put an option of buying some of the main bones package but not having to get it all. That would save on postage.
-
I managed to get into wave one, which makes me happy, but seeing the potential enourmous shipping costs made me very unhappy. I wonder if there maybe is someone present from the US who is willing to receive my package and later send it on as a gift? I'd be willing to add some nice extras :D
(otherwise I'll have to ask around with my friends :p)
-
I contacted them asking if they could send UK (and possibly eu) orders through reaper uk saving us massive amounts of money....
Otherwise a good deal that gets too big becomes a very bad deal...

That sound like a good idea. I've seen quite a few kickstarter send out goods in this fashion. Hopefully they're open for the suggestion.
-
Took the plunge and signed up ::)
I love all the extra little creatures they throw in, the first kickstarter really helped flesh out my dungeon population. So far this one looks to add even more variety and character. The dungeon decor will be a most welcome addition as well, I'm always looking for more :)
I'm hoping that they use the firmer material for the models this time. Did anyone else notice the same thing from the last batch? Some of the models were much firmer and others super flexible, same size just felt like different material.
Brax if you don't find anyone else, I live in the US and would be happy to help out. Though come to think of it, wasn't the last kickstarter sent out as "Gift"? I seem to remember seeing that they were somewhere.
-
Though come to think of it, wasn't the last kickstarter sent out as "Gift"? I seem to remember seeing that they were somewhere.
Nope. The 34 euros (46$ aprox) I had to pay for customs proove that. >:(
-
I backed the first one and haven't had a chance to paint any of it yet. The figures I've seen so far haven't impressed me (I have enough fantasy figures from kickstarter 1). The shipping is the big deal breaker on this one - I live in Canada's Arctic, so I imagine it would be an arm and a leg.
-
I asked myself what the shipping cost for figures would be like if I lived that far North the first time I saw your location... lol
-
To the best of my knowledge, they have no plans to stop metal production or do a full conversion to plastic.
And thank god for that...
-
The plastic is too soft in my opinion.. :/
-
It's good for big monsters though.
-
With the costs involved being completely variable, I'll probably pass on this one. Last Kickstarter had a fix shipping cost and also a fix declared value on the customs details.
For each model added to the basic pledge, there's an increase in postage cost. Increased postage also means increased customs (as the shipping cost is taxed).
For each option I buy into, there's an increase in customs fees as well.
If I spent say $200 on the kickstarter, shipping might very well be another $50. That's $250 I'm being stung for in customs, as opposed to $125 last time. It would mean I'd pay about $100 in customs fees. :'(
-
I'm with you on this. I do however want a Kraken :) The other stuff seems a bit uinteresting at the moment.
-
I guess the question will be how much of a discount you are getting (and can you sell the figures you don't want off to cover some of the costs.)
IIRC the retail for each bones figure is higher than the KS price. This may be the cheapest way for you to get them, period.
-
Kudos for Reaper regarding the shipping costs they absorbed when mailing the last Kickstarter. It will help once I know the shipping costs (even if approximate) but so far the selection of figures has left me rather blah. Only about a dozen figs interest me so far so I will likely just order them when available in the store and/or in metal and get free shipping. Will keep an eye on it to see where it goes.
-
Yeah, last KS the international shipping cost $330k and they only charged international backers $111k. International backers were only 25% of the total backers but 70% of the shipping costs were international. A lot of that was caused by USPS literally doubling international shipping costs between the finish of the KS and the time it shipped, but thats still a BIG difference reaper had to absorb so I can't fault Reaper one single bit for doing shipping the way they are this time around. The same box that costs $75 to ship to UK can be sent to the other side of the country for $8 with full tracking and confirmation and no customs forms and fees to sort out.
Reaper posted the breakdown of how the first KS went here (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1513061270/reaper-miniatures-bones-ii-the-return-of-mr-bones/posts/616332)
I backed for wave 1 shipping almost as soon as it went live, but if I wasn't US then I'd almost certainly have held off until I had a better idea of costs and possibly wouldn't back it at all. I understand the disappointment, and I certainly get that it really turns a fantastic deal into only a good deal (and therefore a not-good-enough-for-me deal), but you can't fault Reaper (a business) for doing business like a business. Of the $3.4 million the first KS made, only $54k was actual profit.
-
While one might argue that 54k is a crappy profit, it's still in the light of setting up a whole new production line and being able to write it off with a smile :)
-
The future profits they will make off that stuff is where they will make loads of cash. That is what kickstarter is about though isn't it, kick starting something so it can be used in the future rather than a profit making scheme.
-

QUITE SO!

I'm a bit hesitant...
I just got my BONES from the first batch two weeks ago finally. I haven't had the time to paint any of them yet, but my first impression isn't too hot:
- basically EVERY spear and staff and a good portion of the swords, including some giant-sized ones, is bent and I have no clue how to fix them. Cut them off and get decent metal or resin weapons from somewhere?
- some of the pre-assembled ones (e.g. eye tyrant) have huge gaps where the parts meet
- detail on the smaller minis seems a bit mushy...
-

Throw the models for about 5-15 minutes in boiling water. Remove and straighten parts if neccessary, throw in icecold water for 5 minuts to fix the position. Done!
I'm still interested in this next set, but am afraid that shipping can quite easily go up to around $70. It would be great if Reaper could just bulk ship packages out to a european location such as sedition wars did with battlefoam and so circumvent the high P&P. The postage rates are only getting more crazy all the time, while I don't mind waiting a month or two more for my package. Especially when it's done via kickstarter.
-
$50 Grand is a pretty good profit for any miniatures company!
It should be noted that this only accounts for the money pledged in the Kickstarter. I know that myself at least added on to my pledge afterwards. In fact I doubled or tripled it (IIRC) as I added on stuff. Also I recall there being a PayPal option which was also outside KS.
Would the amount displayed in Kickstarter include those totals? I can't think why it would unless KS somehow was able to get their claws into the funds. So I think total raised must surely be much higher. Another million perhaps? We'll know if there is a Reaper Cigar Boat cruising around Lake Havasu next year. :D
-
Reaper seems to provide a lot of value with their KS. Most of the reviews I've read from the "Vampire" level supporters are good. I won't be supporting this (missed out the first one as well) because I have WAY too many unpainted minis as is. And I prefer metal; but I definitely will buy some of the larger beasties from the webstore in the cheaper Bones material; particularly monsters without weapons. Bendy weapons are horrible.
-
Starting to think I may give this a miss now. I want the giants, well one of the he giants as I already have Krug in metal. The chimera and centaurs would be cool too. I may just try to pick up some of these individually and make the $1 token pledge for addons.
-
It would be great if Reaper could just bulk ship packages out to a european location such as sedition wars did with battlefoam and so circumvent the high P&P.
That is definitely the way to do it. They should have the volume to bulk ship at least to Europe. Heck, why not bulk ship some portion to Europe direct from the factory and pay someone to pack and ship the european orders in UK or maybe Netherlands? They could strike a deal with someone else in the business, and there are companies offering this sort of logistics services.
Shipping individual packages overseas is just idiotic. Mine came in through Brazil (complete with a 2 week stint in brazilian customs). I thought it was a mistake, but no, the documentation in the package indicates it was sent that way on purpose. I can't figure out why, but if they like sending their packages on world tours small wonder their shipping costs are so high...
-
I don't think they can really do it that way this time with the way they have prioritized shipping. There could be 300 UK people in Wave 1 200 in Wave 2 400 in Wave 3 etc. I guess you could bulk ship those ones but then it's not as bulk as it could be is it.
-
Hmmm... I'm getting a feeling they don't really want any international backers.
"Pay shipping at cost"? Who's going to go into a blind buy like that? If they decide to stick your stuff in next day courier service, you could easily end up paying $500 shipping on $100 pledge.
I've found that "shipping at cost" typically reduces the seller's incentive to find cheap shipping to ZERO. They're going to pick whatever is least hassle for them since the customer is footing the bill anyway.
-
I may get in on the very bottom floor just to pick up a handful of add-ons. I don't care much for the contents of the main set...though as the KS carries on perhaps that will change. more interested in some of the large beasties and some furniture.
-
Still wondering if there's a way to track only-new minis. It's really not clear which figures are entirely new unless you've browsed their entire catalogue multiple times (which I have come close to doing, on occasion...).
-
I think the vast majority of miniatures in this campaign are pre-existing figures, like the last KS. In the first campaign, I think there were only a handful of new ones. I got in this one to keep my foot in the door for shipping priority, but I am not certain I will stay. I am not sure I want to try and sell off the majority of the main package again, as I know most of it will never be used.
As for the shipping prices, it looks like they are going to ship via USPS, which is pretty much always the cheapest option. They are making a shipping calculator, which I think will be the actual price you pay, regardless of differences which may show up once they actually start shipping. I am still not keen on free shipping in the US, but no discount at all for RoW shipping...
-
^Not always the cheapest option if you're a company...as a consumer for in-country stuff it often is. For larger shipments, UPS and Fedex have much better deals for companies. International shipping? Forget about it. Criminally expensive for an average consumer, even with USPS. Surely Reaper has a decent account with someone.

Well, new 28mm figures. I know there were some new large-sized monsters.

As a consumer from Canada, USPS is the best option. I have never been quoted a cheaper rate by a courier than via USPS to Canada. Additionally, USPS passes through the Canada Post customs, which only infrequently imposes taxes and tariffs on relatively small packages. Contrast that to UPS that typically has higher shipping rates, then add their inane brokerage fees (much higher than Canada Post brokerage fees), plus taxes on every single package, no exceptions. Plus, couriers seem to seek out the most obscure, hard to reach area of a city to place their depot, then wait until you are not home to try and deliver the package so that you have to pick it up at said depot... o_o

Free US shipping is a Kickstarter requirement, not a Reaper decision. I'm sure Reaper would LOVE to charge US buyers shipping, but one of the requirements of KS is free domestic shipping. Reapers latest update has some rough calculations for what you'll pay to give you an idea of what shipping charges to your country will be.
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1513061270/reaper-miniatures-bones-ii-the-return-of-mr-bones/posts/619027#comments (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1513061270/reaper-miniatures-bones-ii-the-return-of-mr-bones/posts/619027#comments)
-
Yes but I'm sure they factor shipping into the final price of their pledges, so international backers will pay this expected rise in price of the miniatures plus their own shipping as well.
-
I did not realize that KS required free domestic shipping. Interesting. I had looked at that calculator update before, and the predictions were similar to what I would have guessed.
I might just end up dropping my pledge and buying the bits I need once the 10-20k+ backers who end up backing the project decide they want to unload all of their unwanted bones.

It looks like the Vampire box from the previous KS ($100 IIRC) is now $324.99 on the Reaper site:

The latest possible additions to the expansion set (still 200,000$ away) has many figures that I'm interested in. It may become worth adding it to my dollar pledge. I'm very wary of shipping costs, though, so I'll wait until Reaper gives an exact weight for it so I can calculate how much shipping would be. Until then, I'm in just for the infernal dragon, Narthax. And perhaps a gelatinous cube if they show a production model before the KS ends (unlikely).
-

Shipping is hugely dependant on carrier and service level chosen. I tried to ask Reaper about this but they didn't really answer the question. Apparently shipping will be in the pledge manager, but when does that go online and do you really have any choices there?
My Vampire package with some extras weighed 3.5kg. I could right now go to the local post office and mail it back to them for 46 euros or 86 euros depending on service level chosen. If I was really busy with someone else's money to burn, I could call the UPS guy to pick it up and send next day air for probably 500 euros...
-
They are going to use USPS. They have already said that. And service level will be the same one used in their previous KS.
-
The pledge manager has come out
https://ks.reapermini.com
You have to sign up for it but it gives you postage. I think I'll only get a few things as postage is considerably less for that.

Ok, that relieves the uncertainty. Looks like postage for the basic box is running at roughly $50 now. Adding the expansion doesn't really change it.
I don't get what the big fuss is about... That's not a huge difference compared to what I paid for international shipping the last time around...
-
Well it is double but then again it's not as much as I thought it would be. And not ridiculous considering the size of the box.
-
And not ridiculous considering the size of the box.
The plastic is thankfully light. If it was metal or even resin we'd be paying through the nose for shipping...

Reaper added 25mm bases overnight.

The reason i'm not in this time is that they are not going to declare the value of the parcel as $100, it will be the actual value, and the more the KS goes up the higher the tax becomes, I think this means at the moment something like $75 (roughly £30) in tax and £8 royal mail fee, but it's only going to get worse.
There are more items i'm interested in this time around than last time but I will just have to buy them all at full whack from Miniature heroes instead.
-
Or buy/trade them from the likely 15k+ other people who will end up buying the full package and won't need most of the figures ;)
I really want to get that Goroloth... shame you have to buy the whole other package too.

I had to recheck the KS FAQ. It states:
"The value we will declare is the total amount of your pledge for product."
Thus, it won't go up for you unless you actually pledge more. They are not going to mark it with full retail value or anything stupid like that. Unless you have some other information that didn't make it to the FAQ for some reason...
I've no beef with this (and I paid full customs+VAT for the previous set as well). Give the emperor and all that...
-
A pity that they have done expansion sets, although it imagine it makes better sense rom there end.
-
I expect the things in the expansion sets will be available separately as well. How else are people going to be able to order 2 or 3 giant scorpions, for example?
(I assume that is the issue - that you only want a few of the things in an expansion set?)

They have said that won't happen. Personally, the last expansion to the expansion set (wt...?) has many minis that I want, so it has become good value for me, and I'll likely pledge for it (so far, I have my dollar pledge and the infernal dragon add-on, and have recently added the four dragon hatchlings).
-
I've had to drop out of this one. The postage costs threw it. Still good value but it made me think 'sensibly' :o

And onto the last two days.
I don't think things are going to go as crazy as with the first one, though. Still may be interesting seeing how it ends.
-
The base kit is still very shite to be honest. Sure, one could splash out on all add-ons, but seriously, this does feel like an "us only" kickstarter with the deadly shipping coats...
-
But shipping costs are not Reaper's fault. Those costs are all distance and weight (and Customs related.)
-
I'm going to give this a pass...
...mostly because I wasn't too impressed by the first batch. My mind may change when I have the time to actually paint some of them, but I'm not going to plonk down hundreds of dollars more while the jury is still out.
Especially as there are other deserving kickstarters out there.
IMHO it's just too soon. They started a new KS before I even got my models from the previous one.
-
Only six hours to go...
And yes, I'm pimping it because I want to get the latest stretch goal posted (at 3 million dollars), the "Dragons don't share II" diorama. ::)
-
It is quite cool that diorama. Tempted myself but it just downgraded my pledge yesterday because I really can't justify it this time. However shipping for me is an additional $42 to my pledge.

I only ended up spending $50 got some double ups to sell off at a later date to hopefully get my money back.
-
Little bit of necro here.
I understand that the Bones II release date is set for the 13th of this month. One thing I simply cannot find anywhere is if the new figures which were introduced in this campaign (not campaign exclusives, just new minis, like the Lords of Darkness add-on) will be sold on the main site then, or if they will be released in metal. Does anyone know?
-
There is one Chronoscope ninja that's in the new Bones set that I really want to pick up...
-
I have to say the communication on this one has been worse than the first one. Not showing finished product etc. Almost forgot about this to be honest.
-
They have been putting out an update every Friday, showing unpainted and painted models. They also pt out a short video of all of the figures.
-
Every Friday? On the Kickstarter? Maybe they are only doing it to those that pledged for the full set because the ones I get are few and far between.
-
Uodares are here
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1513061270/reaper-miniatures-bones-ii-the-return-of-mr-bones/posts
They have been updates roughly every two weeks over recent months.
-
I've seen their updates, but I never saw anything in them that mentioned when the all-new miniatures would be released for general sale, or if they'd be offered in metal. Really hoping for some of the figures in there, like the Highland Adventure set, a couple of the Lords of Darkness figures and maybe a couple of the Greedy Adventurers figures, but I'm really hoping for proper metal versions.
-
Hmm.. looks like it is more like every other week. Anyway, I have no idea why you are not receiving updates, Beefcake, but I'm getting them.
-
No I am getting them. Just not weekly as your initial post seemed to state, the latest update makes it seem like it will be every Friday though. Few and far between may have been a gross exaggeration on my part lol. Maybe I just haven't taken much notice of them as they usually don't have the minis in there that pertain to me.
-
They've been pretty faithfully sending out an update every other Friday, barring stuff like holidays or conventions the Reaper staff are off to. A couple of the updates have been along the lines of, "Nothing to report, but we said we'd send out an update every other Friday and it's that Friday, so here's a photo of one of the greens for the project. See you in two weeks!", mind you.
I'm in for one of the dragons and half a dozen of the other sets, and looking forward to seeing it. The dragon was a just-because impulse purchase; most of the rest were bought with an eye toward various fantasy skirmish warbands, but since the KS ended I've gotten into Blood Bowl and am now re-examining what I've got coming in terms of creating BB teams from the figures!
-
Well, October's nearly gone and there's nothing on the main website other than some Halloween promotional releases (not from the Bones line), so I guess I have no idea what's up. Are any Bones II backers here that have received shipping schedules or confirmed release dates?
-
Last update said there were 5 containers already in transit/customs but those would not be enough put together complete sets. More are on the way.
-
IIRC, I managed to get a place in "wave 2" so, october shipping... still, I haven't received any update other than the ones on their KS page :?
-
I think this will give you an idea when to expect Wave 2 (January?):
Shipping Update
We do not currently have a precise date for shipment of the last Container (which might turn out to be two simultaneous containers, because of volume) - we are expecting to be notified of the date within the next 10 days. We will share this information as soon as we have it. At this time, we are anticipating that Wave one will not be able to begin until November, although we will certainly try for late October.
We will maintain Wave Order, and plan to work as hard as we can to get all shipments out as fast as possible.
-
Looks like the minis will be released for general sale this month. What I am still trying to figure out, and what I can't seen to find anywhere, is if metal versions will be released for the kickstarter-specific minis which are now seeing their first release in any form. Does anyone know? Has Reaper said anything anywhere about this at all? I searched the KS and the Bones forums, but couldn't get an answer.
-
The Peryton and a female barbarian from bones 2 were released in metal a week or two before they started shipping the bones, so I think they are releasing them as they are able, but I have not seen any sort of schedule.
-
Brian said, on the forums I think, that it was possible for them to be released in metal but there were no specific plans at the moment.
-
Ah. Both I and a friend are hoping for some of the vampire/necromancer figures in metal. Will keep our fingers crossed, I guess.
-
Which ones? I don't think there are any vampires or necromancers in there that are Bones exclusive.
-
As much as I like the Bones figures I do wish they had more stuff in the line outside of the pure fantasy genre. I'm hoping some of the Savage Worlds and Chronoscope stuff that made it into the Bones line will start showing up at my local shops sometime soon.
-
Agreed. But the stuff that has made it in is pretty cool. Mine shows up tomorrow. Looking forward to all he Chronoscope stuff I got a bunch of stuff including the expansion with the dumpster, UFO, and other Chronoscope type stuff.
-
I received a huge box from Reaper today.
There are 6 pounds in weight of bones miniatures and paints.
My collection just expanded by about 250 miniatues including two big dragons, giant worm, water elementals etc etc.
I have had a look through and they are very good as far as I can see.
I am very happy to have backed this kickstarter.
-
Had notification today that it'll be delivered to me tomorrow,
Really looking forward to seeing it all
Regards
Jim
-
Got mine last night and looked through them kind of quickly. A few things I noticed on my first pass.
1) My Wolf Demon has two left claws.
2) My Verocithrax is missing the tree they were supposed to add for support. It had a note saying what it was for and how to use it though.
3) As many people have said, Sir Daniel is missing a left hand. Not a real big deal as it is behind a shield.
4) One of my dragons, I think it was Blightfang, has a too small slot for the wing to fit in.
Also, if you got the UFO be careful opening it. The landing gear and alien head are loose and very tiny. Overall I am very pleased with it. Lots of useful stuff in this set.

Shipping was too ridiculous to get everything for me so I only got 4 giants, 2 gorgons, 2 chimeras a basilisk and a burrowing horror. I've sold 2 of the giants and 1 of each of the gorgon and chimera and recouped all my money including postage. Happy me.

Which ones? I don't think there are any vampires or necromancers in there that are Bones exclusive.
There was a set of six, under the Lords of Darkness option.

As far as I know, these are all new minis.

Mine just arrived, pretty happy with everything
Except a gnoll is missing his left arm and a couple of my mouslings
Are badly deformed :-/
Considering how much was in my pack I'm still really pleased.
The gelatinous cube is brilliant!
Regards

Any information when will this wave of minis be on regular sale?

They aren't showing up in the store now, but I am pretty sure most of them existed at some point. I know I have the succubus. She was one of he first releases for Warlord.

For the price they cost (even at retail) Bones are amazing really. I've painted only a half dozen or so, either from the first KS box or ones I bought separately but I think the level of detail is perfectly fine...and the material is very resilient. If you have kids and want to game with them Bones are the way to go.

Crap. Does anyone know what the name of her and the necromancer might be? I need one of the necromancer and two of the succubus, in metal, for a project with a friend.
EDIT: I am really not sure you're right. I can't find any evidence that those figures were previously issued by Reaper. I think you might want to have a look at your figure because you may have something different, quite probably this discontinued Reaper Warlord figure "Jhorxia":
