Folks,
Scheltrum will be at Salute on STAND TJ23 this year and have some new releases to tempt your fancy:
Cossacks in greatcoats
Finnish Guard
Ukrainian Blue Strelitz Rifles & Support
Militia HMG
Ragged Revolutionaries
(I'm posting this on behalf of Scheltrum Miniatures as I am a mate of the owner and he's promised me a bung for doing so lol :D )
-
How about some pictures?
-
would be surprised, since scheltrum doesn't do pictures....
-
Pics of the Finnish Guards, pretty please ;D
-

no but the Emir might....
-
Hmm,
Scheltrum often has that gem you never expected to find.
Gonna check out if those ragged revolutionaries and that Militia HMG can't make a small detour to Spain in the late 30's.

Sorry chaps I don't have pics -
Today's message was hand delivered to me on a sheet of dry parchment, pressed into my palm by a furtive dark haired bespectacled fellow I met under the clock of the railway station. Once the strange spidery script was deciphered - a task which took some hours - I rushed to the computer to tell you.
(Well if I'm being honest I got a text - but that version's less fun!).
Scheltrum tell me the email's working...drop them a line.
;)

Yes, but Sholto has several very similar email addresses and it depends on which moon quarter to find the funtional one. And if the shadow of the hanged man falls over the second 's' in the address it won't work unless the hemlock is in full bloom.

I will endeavour to find the correct one.....
But prob won't hear back now for a few days as he's en route to salute!

Thanks very much Emir.
However, I'll see Sholto at Salute tomorrow ;)
-
Not had a chance to yet.
But when you see him tell him you saw my post!!
I'll collect my commission from him next week (and am going to have a chat with him about a simple blog with pics).
;)
-
So, any news, details, pictorial reports? ;)
-
We have a cunning plan to bring you all pictures of everything....but you must be patient.
Surely you know how it works with Scheltrum ;) ;D ;)
-
Nothing yet? :-I
-
Being patient on the sidelines...

To me these are none-products till there are pictures. >:D
-
will try and get pic's at Carronade for you :)
-
I'm slowly putting together something with pics of everything they do. I don't work for them, its a favour, so it will be a while before everything is up.
When its got a good load of pics up there I will let everyone know. I've only images for certain ranges at present and none of the interwar stuff yet. But its moving and will happen.
Meantime, Scheltrum will be at Carronade tomorrow (Sat 10th).
-
I'll settle for a sketch of the figures. Something drawn on a cocktail napkin in biro or lipstick? Maybe one of those police identikit pictures? Stick figures?
-
Be very careful what you wish for!!
lol
-
got some pics hope they help.

Thanks for the pics 8)
-
Also this little beauty - soon to be released.
-
Really could do with some nice painted examples of their stuff. I must admit I don't even look at this stand any more when I see it at a show, Why make nice figures and then brush paint them with red lead undercoat.

I cant say I blame you, I would probably do the same.
The figures do look nice but that display would not attract my attention in the first place to even look.

It's a point I've brought up. The owners painting skills aren't the best, by his own admission, and hampered further by a little colour blindness. Added to the fact this is a hobby, not a main business there's not always time or money to get them painted.
As we get some more pics taken we'll try various ink washes to see what works best on the stand and on "film" so to speak.
-
i see some useful and unusual minis there. The faces of these ranges has not always been top notch so I appreciate the headless option

Even a black ink wash over a grey base would be better.
Maybe a white/light grey drybrush afterwards.
You will see much more of the detail.
;)
It seems a shame as they do look very nice figures.
:D
-
Interesting stuff, I really like the Maxim cart.
-
not normally a fan of Scheltrum but those Finnish Guards look nice.
-
They look very useful especially the MG cart and the cavalry
-
I could use the Tchanaka or two. It would be perfect for my R.C.W. Armies. Please Please release it soon and send it overseas to the U.S.
-
This is completely off topic, apologies, but is that avatar Marlon Brando from 'Burn!' (I used Google image search)?
I keep thinking it's Glenn Robbins and it's freaking me out the way he's looking at me.

Send some of the figures to me and I would happily paint them for you
-
The easiest solution would be to send me one of everything and I will take photos of it, the paint it and then take another photo of it. ;)
