I've been talking with Chris Kirby and Alan Robinson who are the creative team behind the hit Weird WWII comic "The Lost Squad" and it looks like we will be doing some official Lost Squad miniatures in the near future. Were still in the early stages of the project but I just wanted you guys know what's in the works. As soon as I have more info I will let you all know. Be sure to pick up the Lost Squad TPB and get into the Weird War II mood. They have also signed a movie deal with Rouge Pictures to do a movie of this crew so keep you eyes peeled, maybe we can shake off the damage that SS Doomtrooper caused the genera. :D
Keep it weird,
Brian

Now, outfitted with a small band of war-weary Allied soldiers, Bruttenholm begins to unravel the mystery of the Nazi Occult Bureau's greatest and most threatening initiatives: Project Vampir Sturm."

The blanked one is okay. On "why the No Swastikas-rule": check here (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=1506.30)
Please check pages two and three in particular, where Lowtardog and myself elaborate on the problems of displaying swastikas in a German forum.

Just on the BPRD vein, does anyone here really like Guy Davis' illustrations? It doesn't look like he will be working on the 1946 project though, at least from the cover... the artwork was the only thing I didn't like about the Hellboy spin off.
I'm not familiar with Lost Squad but it looks like something I would be in to... looking forward to seeing some greens (at least!).

I wasn't a fan to begin with, but his style grew on me. I think it is just so radically different to Mignola's that it takes some getting used to.
I picked up the Lost Squad collection from Amazon at the weekend, and found it really quite enjoyable. There was a lot of lovely set ups for more stories (What's with the Chicago Boys? Exactly how old is the Major? And how does he know the main bad guy? etc).
The only thing I didn't like was the inclusion of the short story at the end (I assume this one was published first) as after setting up the team as near invincible, they dispell that illusion in a couple of pages, and seem to give a finite end to any adventures before they really even get going. Kind of ruined it for me, unfortunately.
