French Indian War
-
Thanks!
More Pics will follow, when I have painted the Indians (who were undercoated 10 min ago).
@cianty: don't worry, a few weeks ago I didn't know what FIW stands for either!
Its French Indian War.
-
It's what Americans call the bit of the Seven Years War that happened to them.
For the rest of us, "Seven Years War" is a perfectly good name, but it's not good enough for some people... :)
I look forward to more pics.
-
It's "French and Indian War" to be precise. "French Indian War" makes it sound like it was fought between the French and the Indians :)

Quite right. F&IW.

Or against the French Indians ...

Lovely stuff. Nicely painted figures, nice terrain. More please. :D

Seems to be this one: http://www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/pegasus-hobbies-storey-russian-house-7704-p-11781.html
It's supposedly in 1/72 scale but judging from those pictures, it seems to work very nicely in 28mm. There are also a couple of other ones:
http://www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/pegasus-hobbies-russian-farm-houses-7702-p-3002.html
http://www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/pegasus-hobbies-russian-houses-7703-p-11780.html
What I want to know is, do they have detailed interiors?
-
Rhoderic is right, the house is made by Pegasus Hobbies! Although its scale is 1/72, it fits quite well with 28's.
It's roof is removable but unfortunately it comes without any interior or even floor.
The two small log houses by Pegasus come without lift-off roof.
I made some fast interior, some barrels, a table+chairs and an oven. Sadly the wall I made from toothpicks somehow warped after painting >:(

Wow, 6 GBP houses that work for 28mm and look good at the same time. That is quite astounding. Those are 28mm miniatures, right? Where are they from, by the way?

Conquest Miniatures 8)
Beautiful sculpts with a lot of character, I love the farmers wife carrying the rifles :-*
-
Thanks, imurdentist! They do look very good indeed. But that is no surprise considering the splendid paint job.
-
Wonderful stuff :)
-
That's a really great board with superb scenics and terrain. :-*
-
Superb! It reminds me I need to paint my Conquest French marines!
-
Looks great!
-
Very nice board and terrain, and quite imaginative pics!
:-*
-
Very good board and figures.
Am I right in thinking that the pegasus 1/72 is good for 28mm in all kits I could really use those at that price. Also hobbybox do a nice range of pegasus .

pegasus do some nice useful bits and pieces my local wargames shop in sheffield stocks them ,they include a nice set of 28mm barrels and some barbed wire sections and ruins great stuff..
-
Yes!
I was looking at Pegasus Hobbies online just now, there are 3 different sets of Log farm/houses (one supposed to have details inside) so thats 5 different buildings, also wooden fences, wooden barrels and stone walls, lots of good stuff. ;D
Better to check different online stores as prices can vary, the cheapest I have found so far is from:-
www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/pegasus-hobbies-russian-farm-houses-7702-p-3002.html
www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/pegasus-hobbies-russian-houses-7703-p-11780.html
www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/pegasus-hobbies-storey-russian-house-7704-p-11781.html
But this site does not have Pegasus wooden fences etc.
cheers
