I see that some have gotten their 2nd Ed. rulebooks.
Can I expect to see my (kickstarter) copy in the mail soonish? ;D
-
From my understanding everything has been forwarded to the fulfillment companies. Considering you're in the EU, I think you might be waiting another couple of weeks, depending on if the crates have landed in the EU yet.
-
I just got notification from 'ship naked' I'm in the UK and they
Say Europe to expect 3 weeks from notification,
So hopefully same for you too
Regards
Jim
-
Okies. Looking forward to seeing the changes.
-
Any idea if this include delivery to retailers? I missed out on the Kickstarter.

Retailer packages were shipped separately, so they should be getting them soon, if not already.

Actually, the two European retailer orders (Battlefield Berlin and F-Side) are being shipped together with the Kickstarter orders, so they should arrive in about three weeks.

Great, I'll keep an eye out for them in October.

Me too.

Nothing that I have heard from the US side of Ship Naked yet...
-
Hah! Got notice just a moment ago, looks like this time next week. Oh well, at least it is moving again.
-
Just got a final shipping report - all the packages are now out the door and on their way, and I have tracking numbers for all US shipments and any other parcels over the 2kg mark. Canadians should all have their stuff already.
Looks like a Monday delivery for you Styx. Sorry we came so close but just missed your target!
-
Cracks the whip? ;)
-
Sees the naked shipper.
Whips the crack.

Yea, saw it updated guess it moved faster than they expected. Thanks!

*glares at you* ONLY I WHIP FOR THE MASTER! ;D

Tracking still shows Monday, package was in Orlando at 3pm today, grrr...I could drive there in two hours! Oddly, the package shows the day after the blood harvest moon (will not happen again for 18 years) on Sunday (the closest the moon is and an eclipse at the same time).....Doubt FedEx would deliver on Saturday anyway, they are weird about weekend delivery...
-
At least you have a tracking number...I only got an anouncement that the package has been shipped. Can't wait to see all the goodies in real life.

Well you live in in the NeitherRegions! Mail there seems to be black magic unto itself! *kidding of course* A great country, on my list to visit.
FedEx is doing this weird thing where they ship to a central sorting spot, then they hand it off to the US Postal Services, which is odd as they compete against one another along with UPS....as of about 3-4 am it was going to the US Postal Service, depending on arrival there and if gets to my local office before they go out on route it could show today. In theory it is only about 1.5 hours from Orlando the mail sorting spot in Tampa, they seem to move pretty quick there and get things out the door quick, if it can make the 6am out, miracles could happen. I don't have high hopes but I do plan to keep an on on the tracking later today.

Heh, I do know customs are using black magic as they make your money disappear rather fast and quite efficiently.
I don't really mind that I don't have a tracking number...it'll probably arrive in about three weeks or so and now it'll be a pleasant surprise to recieve the package.
-
Hey Styx, keep those fingers crossed. Just checked my tracking and it was updated to delivery today here in PA.
-
My package was delivered today in North Carolina.
Have not been able to give it too much of a look. I did notice mold lines on a lot of the threshold figures and a hand broken on one cultist, but nothing major. The book looks fantastic from a 30 second page through.

alas, Fedex could not get it to the Postal Service fast enough, have to wait till Monday now.
-
9lbs of eldritch horrors has just arrived on my desk in the UK. Not opened yet but may sneak a peak shortly before going through properly tonight.
-
Oh no! Now I'll have to stay in the house all day every day
for fear of missing the delivery!
Regards
Jim
-
I'm in Surrey as well so hopefully yours will be delivered tomorrow.
-
Now had a chance to open up my package in full and very impressive. The casting on all the minis is exceptional and the new coloured resin really helps bring out all the details. Some of the new sculpts are also all really good especially the Shoggoth which is much bigger then I was expecting.
My Agent Lovecraft has unfortunately lost his head on the journey but hopefully this can be found and reattached without too much trouble.
Moving house in a couple of weeks so unlikely the new figures will hit the table before November but looking forward to giving the new rules (and perhaps the solo deck) a spin.
-
Looking over the data I was sent, only the largest packages (pledges of $750 or more) were sent by FedEx and will all arrive today or tomorrow. All other UK and Europe-bound packages will likely be another 1-2 weeks.
-
Sending out an update soon, but I want to note here as well: in the event you are in the EU and are charged any form of VAT or other import fee on your Kickstarter order, please retain your receipt and send an image of it to service@shipnaked.com to be reimbursed via PayPal.

Package showed today full of goodness....errr...evilness! Mahahahhahaha ;D
Already had to explain the shirt to my wife, yes it is a goat, yes it has a pentagram...it is a joke, not an actual cult
-
And my joy was just shat upon also....wow, I was so disgusted I just put away my stuff for the night, all joy lost. Long story short, the wife does not like the Black Goat tee....thinks it is satanic, evil and sends the wrong message to (translates to idiots and ignorant folk) that see the shirt if I wear it in public (even to a gaming store). Tried to explain the cheeky nature of the concept of the CotBG and the humor behind it....lost.....
Goes down to the swastika debate I went through with my Finnish for Bolt Action, she went off when I put the Finnish Swastika on the tank (not the Natzi one), a symbol of the country well prior to the Fins....tried to explain they historically have been in Egyptian, Chinese and other cultures long before the Finns or Hitler's use of the symbol and just that symbolism.....
Wow, I am without words right now....I love her without words, but wow marriage is just shitty at times....guess that explains why everyone in Mayberry was so happy, everyone was single, except Otis, the town drunk and tried to lock himself up all the time.
-
Dude I feel for you...
My neighbours across the hall are a lovely family employed by the Salvation Army and deeply involved in divinity studies. They have no issue with my Black Goat shirt. Gotta love'em. They understand that the principles and actions of an individual are what count, not the clothes they wear or the car they drive.
Read the book and not the cover, in other words.
-
Wow, that sucks! I'm lucky my wife and I are both metal heads so were're okay with and used to pentagrams and occult stuff like that. Even at work I have never had any problems with the shirts I wear (some of which can be seen as a bit offensive), except for one shirt from the Exorcist movie with the infamous "Your mother..." quote, which I can totally understand.
I hope she will have a change of heart and realize that it's not serious and that people shouldn't take stuff like that serious anyway...most real satanists probably wouldn't even advertise their beliefs so openly.
-
I understand the shirt thing. I see the humor in them and like the design, but when I joined (well before the KS project) asked Uncle Mike to keep the shirt. Many of the places I go and folks I associate with would not 'get it' and even with explanations, wearing the shirt would not be worth the hassle it would cause.
Add in, many folks would never dare ask about it but instead would use it to form an unfair opinion because the imagery makes them uncomfortable (and to be fair to them, it IS a 'scary' image/message if you don't understand the context), and it is just not an item I need/want in my wardrobe. It just would not fit in the majority of places I go.
Folks that have them and love them and wear them with pride? Great! I honestly am glad they get the chance to do so, it is a cool shirt. But just as I can no longer wear things like my old Slayer concert t-shirts, this one is just nor for me at this point.
-
My wife didn't like the shirt at first either. Luckily it was just a quick brain swap and that problem was solved! ;)
-
Dang, do some people not know it is 2015, we can grow limbs in labs, cure alzheimers in mice, create magnetic wormholes, nor know that semiotics are in the mind of the beholder? I'm actually stunned that people can still interpret some graphics according to philosphically refuted medieval concepts and then use that outdated value system to judge anothers ethics. That IS Satan in my opinion. Baffling and worrying for the sanity of the human race. Alas I did not get a shirt, but I would wear it without a second thought, and anyone judging such negatively...well I don't need a surplus of 'irrational' in my life... so would consider it an early warning system to weed out those not entirely down with critical thinking and common human empathy.
Anyway - super excited to hear things have shipped, cannot wait to get mine.
-
No actual cult.....noooooo..... lol
Arrived yesterday in Germany....wow...
so fantastic...great...and ordered a lot...
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
-
She has calmed some about it, I admit I am tempted to wear it as part of my costume for the haunted house, at least there it would be fitting in and accepted, I won't tell the wife, plus I will have my black duster on over it anyway, so it won't be visible much.
-
Hope to get my package in a couple of days. My Tiny Epic Galaxies Kickstarter was sent 14 September by Ship Naked and it arrived September 24...so I hope the turnaround for this one will be the same.
I will be doing Strange Aeons 2nd edition participation games at the next edition of Poldercon here in the Netherlands. This year's Pulp alley was a blast and I think Strange Aeons will be just as cool.
And the T-shirts...not a fan of them. The hobby itself is geeky enough for me, don't need clothing to add to it ;). In fact, my Black Goat T-shirt was given away for free to a fellow LAF'er who was interested in mine.
-
Sad news, but people will feel what they feel. I've worn my Black Goat shirt to the office on a Friday and never had anyone bat an eye. I've always looked at the graphics on a t-shirt as simply that, a picture. I can't infer that someone is an evil person, or assume what their entire belief structure is simply because they're wearing a shirt that has something on it I don't agree with.
Let's get back to it and start playing some games of Strange Aeons 2nd edition! I'll be breaking out my solo deck tomorrow to give it a spin.
-
I have a lot of nerd-shirts, some more subtle than others (my Winchester Tavern tee has caught me knowing glances from unlikely strangers more than once), but that someone in their right mind would think that members of a satanic cult would wear a tee like that, announcing their nefarious activities, is beyond me.
Back on topic, I am really looking forward to receiving the 2nd Ed. book, as my SA activities have been down to an absolute zero since I participated in the KS (and I am in a state of stupor, gaming and painting wise at the moment, so I really need something to get me going again).

Exactly the same thing here with me.

Yea, I want to pull out my solo rules and play a few ones...
-
Got the rulebook, Solo Play Deck, and Twisted Fate Deck + 3 figures in the mail today (AND, I got my first batch of Sarissa Precision Old West buildings, including a 'shack' where some nefarious plots are going to unfold >:D )
Just a quick question:
Are there some official instructions for use of the Twisted Fate Deck in the rules, or should they be downloaded from the SA-site? Skimming the index, I could not find a reference to it.
-
The rules for the Twisted Fate Deck are with the Cards in my deck.
Lembit :)

Ah, OK, I saw the rules for the Solo Deck printed on a separate sheet, and not seeing White paper in the Fate deck, I assumed the rules were elsewhere. Will check when home from Work.

Arrived in UK now.
-
Arrived in Denmark on Saturday, with much rejoycing from cultists old and young when the box of eldritch horror was opened.
-
Mine arrived today in the UK!
-
Got mine too! WOOT! It's all very very nice indeed. Super happy with everything. Cheers Uncle Mike and th SA crew!
-
Mine arrived today in the UK!
Still waiting on mine! Ordered last week from Battlefield Berlin, hopefully it'll be here soon - I've got my potential Threshold team all ready to paint...

Yeah, I'm hoping this week! I never played 1st edition so I'm really looking forward to it.

Wait...you ordered from a retailer and you got it faster than a lot of Kickstarter backers (including me ;))? Nice! Cool to see how fast this game is being distributed 8)

Guess yours will be with you soon as well ;)
Just skipped through the pages yet and am very happy with what I saw.
Am a big fan of 1st ed. and am sure will be so about 2nd ed. as well :D
-
Settle down Mal ( ;))!The only stores that have product currently are the ones who also backed the Kickstarter. Looks like everything is showing up according to plan. Hope everyone gets their stuff in the next week or so!
-
It's cool that retail outlets backed the KS and that there was a pledge suited to their needs. 8)
-
Aaaargh! The wait is killing me.....
No sign here yet :-*
Regards
Jim

Just painted up two Threshold agents in anticipation (Artizan figures) - I'll post pictures tomorrow when the varnish has dried!

Hold on, wasn't grumpy or angry at all! I do think it's cool other people are getting SA stuff too. I think that is a big compliment to you guys in getting the stuff released so fast. So two thumbs up...not down :)
-
Bah, I was hoping it would be in the post this morning, but no such luck!
-
A nice box was waiting for me at work this morning. Excellent work on the book and cards! Now to get back into painting so I can fill out the gaps properly
-
This slithered across my doorstep mere moments ago:
Everything looks fantastic...casting quality has improved a lot and the coloured resin shows details a lot better than the old resin without paint.
Thanks, Uncle Mike and everyone that made this possible for the hard work!
-
Rules landed yesterday - in for a good read :D
-
BOOM! Box arrived. What a big box of awesomesauce 8).
Thanks Mike & co...what a terrific Kickstarter!
-
BOOM! Box arrived.
I have a bad feeling about this. :o
-
Just got my stuff in France today. Very nice! :D
-
The rulebook just arrived in the post! Now to wait for the solo cards to arrive from Canada...
-
Darkest Surrey just got a bit darker. Thank you Mike and Scott for a mind-shattering box of goodies. I'm looking forward to getting some paint on the figures and setting the new campaign going.
Well done!
-
I'm really excited to get my paws on that starter set. I only placed my order the other day so I'm anticipating a bit of wait before the Kickstarter obligations are fulfilled. Right and proper. I have a pile of miniatures I should get to painting before they arrive any way. With the other models I grabbed I can build my nascent C.O.R.D. team and prepare those for play.
-
Big box o'stuff arrived late this evening, who knew Royal Mail still delivered after 6 in the evening, obviously cult influences at work in the company hierarchy :o
It all looks fantastic Mike and crew, really raised the bar and well worth waiting for.
Can't wait to give the book a thorough read tomorrow
Regards
Jim
-
Glad to hear! Really been enjoying playing this edition. Even I need more Lurkers...
-
Hurray! Thanks Uncle Mike. My models came through post today. The starter set included the compliment of three Threshold agents and a generous selection of lurkers. Really looking forward to getting some paint on these guys. Just wondering if there is anything I should do prior to priming? Do they require a prewash or can I proceed? The "like-Crowley" is awesome.
-

I think washing in luke soapy water is a good idea. Just learned it the hard way, as the chained coffin I primed quite some time ago is flaking off lol
-
U should 100% always wash with soap and let dry first :)
-
just to be safe I always wash any figure with warm soapy water and a toothbrush to remove any sort of scum or gunge.
-
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I wasn't certain how tenacious the release agent might be. I usually give resin casts or models I strip an isopropyl bath to kill residue but on your recommendations went with the detergent. I rebased the cult leader and green stuffed the leopard skin where I got overzealous with a mold line so in the next couple days I hope to have him painted and up on my thread.
