Package showed today full of goodness....errr...evilness! Mahahahhahaha ;D

Already had to explain the shirt to my wife, yes it is a goat, yes it has a pentagram...it is a joke, not an actual cult

And my joy was just shat upon also....wow, I was so disgusted I just put away my stuff for the night, all joy lost. Long story short, the wife does not like the Black Goat tee....thinks it is satanic, evil and sends the wrong message to (translates to idiots and ignorant folk) that see the shirt if I wear it in public (even to a gaming store). Tried to explain the cheeky nature of the concept of the CotBG and the humor behind it....lost.....

Goes down to the swastika debate I went through with my Finnish for Bolt Action, she went off when I put the Finnish Swastika on the tank (not the Natzi one), a symbol of the country well prior to the Fins....tried to explain they historically have been in Egyptian, Chinese and other cultures long before the Finns or Hitler's use of the symbol and just that symbolism.....

Wow, I am without words right now....I love her without words, but wow marriage is just shitty at times....guess that explains why everyone in Mayberry was so happy, everyone was single, except  Otis, the town drunk and tried to lock himself up all the time.

Dude I feel for you...

My neighbours across the hall are a lovely family employed by the Salvation Army and deeply involved in divinity studies. They have no issue with my Black Goat shirt. Gotta love'em. They understand that the principles and actions of an individual are what count, not the clothes they wear or the car they drive.

Read the book and not the cover, in other words.

Wow, that sucks! I'm lucky my wife and I are both metal heads so were're okay with and used to pentagrams and occult stuff like that. Even at work I have never had any problems with the shirts I wear (some of which can be seen as a bit offensive), except for one shirt from the Exorcist movie with the infamous "Your mother..." quote, which I can totally understand.
I hope she will have a change of heart and realize that it's not serious and that people shouldn't take stuff like that serious anyway...most real satanists probably wouldn't even advertise their beliefs so openly.

I understand the shirt thing.   I see the humor in them and like the design, but when I joined (well before the KS project) asked Uncle Mike to keep the shirt.   Many of the places I go and folks I associate with would not 'get it' and even with explanations, wearing the shirt would not be worth the hassle it would cause.

Add in, many folks would never dare ask about it but instead would use it to form an unfair opinion because the imagery makes them uncomfortable (and to be fair to them, it IS a 'scary' image/message if you don't understand the context), and it is just not an item I need/want in my wardrobe.   It just would not fit in the majority of places I go.

Folks that have them and love them and wear them with pride?  Great!   I honestly am glad they get the chance to do so, it is a cool shirt.   But just as I can no longer wear things like my old Slayer concert t-shirts, this one is just nor for me at this point.

My wife didn't like the shirt at first either. Luckily it was just a quick brain swap and that problem was solved!  ;)

Dang, do some people not know it is 2015, we can grow limbs in labs, cure alzheimers in mice, create magnetic wormholes, nor know that semiotics are in the mind of the beholder?  I'm actually stunned that people can still interpret some graphics according to philosphically refuted medieval concepts and then use that outdated value system to judge anothers ethics.  That IS Satan in my opinion.  Baffling and worrying for the sanity of the human race.  Alas I did not get a shirt, but I would wear it without a second thought, and anyone judging such negatively...well I don't need a surplus of 'irrational' in my life... so would consider it an early warning system to weed out those not entirely down with critical thinking and common human empathy.

Anyway - super excited to hear things have shipped, cannot wait to get mine.

She has calmed some about it, I admit I am tempted to wear it as part of my costume for the haunted house, at least there it would be fitting in and accepted, I won't tell the wife, plus I will have my black duster on over it anyway, so it won't be visible much.

Hope to get my package in a couple of days. My Tiny Epic Galaxies Kickstarter was sent 14 September by Ship Naked and it arrived September 24...so I hope the turnaround for this one will be the same.

I will be doing Strange Aeons 2nd edition participation games at the next edition of Poldercon here in the Netherlands. This year's Pulp alley was a blast and I think Strange Aeons will be just as cool.

And the T-shirts...not a fan of them. The hobby itself is geeky enough for me, don't need clothing to add to it ;). In fact, my Black Goat T-shirt was given away for free to a fellow LAF'er who was interested in mine.

Sad news, but people will feel what they feel. I've worn my Black Goat shirt to the office on a Friday and never had anyone bat an eye. I've always looked at the graphics on a t-shirt as simply that, a picture. I can't infer that someone is an evil person, or assume what their entire belief structure is simply because they're wearing a shirt that has something on it I don't agree with.

Let's get back to it and start playing some games of Strange Aeons 2nd edition! I'll be breaking out my solo deck tomorrow to give it a spin.

I have a lot of nerd-shirts, some more subtle than others (my Winchester Tavern tee has caught me knowing glances from unlikely strangers more than once), but that someone in their right mind would think that members of a satanic cult would wear a tee like that, announcing their nefarious activities, is beyond me.

Back on topic, I am really looking forward to receiving the 2nd Ed. book, as my SA activities have been down to an absolute zero since I participated in the KS (and I am in a state of stupor, gaming and painting wise at the moment, so I really need something to get me going again).
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Exactly the same thing here with me.

Got the rulebook, Solo Play Deck, and Twisted Fate Deck + 3 figures in the mail today (AND, I got my first batch of Sarissa Precision Old West buildings, including a 'shack' where some nefarious plots are going to unfold  >:D )

Just a quick question:

Are there some official instructions for use of the Twisted Fate Deck in the rules, or should they be downloaded from the SA-site? Skimming the index, I could not find a reference to it.
