After not finishing anything for several years I returned to the brushes in 2015 and finished a few pieces. Some of it waits for the day when my photo-fu improves while most is buried in the oldhammer fb group. I´m sorry if you have seen most of these but I´m looking for a place to put them all.
Nurgle Champ

Chaos Troll

:o
Pretty nice, love them :)
Especially the Nurgle Champ.
Is he plastic?
-
Is he plastic?
The body is from a greenskin wars warlord while the head is from the blight king box.
Some more evil fellows that were painted between larger pieces.

Very nice mate! I am looking forward to see more. ;)
-
Beautiful paintwork, Pulper :-* Hope you keep painting.
-
That's some amazing brushwork Pulper! The transitions in colour are brilliant! :-*
-
Those are wonderful - great to see the old Citadel Uruk-hai as well!
-
Excellent! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your comments.
Some goblins that got painted for the greenskin wars kickstater.

Lovely figures !!!
-
Excellent! :-*
-
Great work. I don't always love this style of painting, but you're cracking out some gorgeous minis.
-
Really really sweet
Do you have any tutorials? I'm really keen of your style
-
Bloody lovely! :-*

(http://Do you have any tutorials? I'm really keen of your style)
I neither have tutorials nor wip pictures. The color gradients on the larger areas are done with the airbrush with targeted washes and highlights to add definition. The rest is just many layers or stippling over an opaque base coat.
-
Not only are the figures excellent - those are great photographs!
How did you get a bunch of goblins to hold still long enough to take their picture?

Bugbear again

First mini after the braek where I thought that things came together again.

Wow! The bugbear is nice, but that second guy.....! I say again....WOW! :-*

With the LPL out off the way I can finally post what I managed to paint over the last year.
In order to get some variety in the stuff I paint and slightly increase the output I started on a dungeon crawler project. No idea about the rules yet but as I have to do all the low level chaff it´s still some years away...

Adventurers e.g. tomorrow´s victims
Not too happy with the wizard but the lantern guys were a nice excersize in source lightning. I went for a subtle look instead of the bathed in bright green approach.

Dungeon Degenerates
An excuse the paint some chaos dwarfes after more than ten years. Trying out differerent schemes was the main motivation for this project.

Beastmen
Dating back to a time when they weren´t just goatmen. More unified than the rest with a minotaur waiting to get painted.

Undead
I wanted them in cold colors and actually use blueish hues again. I have about 30 shades of brown and all green-brown paints ever filled into a dropper bottle or paint pot but my two blue paints date back to the 80s. The walking bed sheet was done in ten minutes with the air brush. Another aim of this project: Finish stuff in one sitiing- didn´t work on the others though but I´m looking forward to the giant rats and spidery things.

I know from a fact that these will be great, but I’m struggling to see them because of the size of the pictures! :-[
-
Fixed the pic size. Thanks for pointing it out. More to come in the future.
-
Man what lovely paint jobs! I have that back lantern guy too! Lovely fig! Any idea where the front lantern bearer is from? I wouldn't mind owning that model.
As for the rules, I feel the Labyrinth Lord rules would fit these models quite well. Those rules are free and old school.
-
Fantastic! Thanks for that! I think the pink to black transition on the beastmen is my favourite part! :-*
-
Very, very nice indeed. Loving the subtle OSL.

The female “Dungeoneer” with the axe? There are two more of these Citadel figures. Both males, one also with a lantern.
The other chap with a lantern is a converted Citadel cleric. Lost minis wiki link (http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Image:Citadel-C03-85-26.jpg)

Beastmen look fantastic! Love those models...
-
Astonishing!
They're all lovely, but I think the beastmen are my favourites. Am I right in detecting some subtle conversions there, in the sword-creature's horns and the boar-head of the axe-wielder?
-
Great painting, love them. Those undead tones are brilliant :).
@Hobgoblin: 2 swords and board headed one are originals, have those primed in the painting cue. Never seen the big one in the center, though.
-
Those are great. I love those old Beastman minis and you've done a superb job on them.
-
wow, glad you got this thread going as I'd missed the earlier posts.
superb and very distinctive painting style.
-
Thanks for your comments. I´m surprised that the beast men are that popular as I think of them as the weakest group mainly due to the fur being just a brown mess.

The shield and sword guy had his chordate head gear removed years ago and the middle has the upper body from a bugbear(?) throne bearer.
The other chap with a lantern is a converted Citadel cleric.
Yes, that´s the one. The arm with lantern comes from an Artisan Thrilling Tales figure.
-
I really like your fur, it looks truly hairy, especially at the tips. Great work...
-
One heck of a conversion! Never would've guessed it was a converted piece.
-

Ah, yes - very subtle and effective horn surgery!
I know the Ral Partha throne: I think the bearers are ogres (of a late-70s sort) - or at least they're variants on this ogre model:

Anyway, superb stuff!

Marvelous thread! Awesome painting with a wonderful, unique style, and figures that I :-*. Also can't go wrong with a dungeon setting for them. Have admired some of these before so nice to have a moment here to complement them. Others are new, and the kind of visual treat that I hope for when I stop by LAF.
Have painted the bugbears myself, and I have a number of the Crooked Claw gobbos WIP. The chaos dwarves are one of my favorite ranges and have some to get to some day. Same with the diverse-style beastmen.
Keep it up!
-
Never would've guessed it was a converted piece.
The conversion took longer than the painting. The most omportant piece was a sanded down and slightly bend metal shield to hide the join. He is actually the most incompetnet beastman ever his horns permit him from bringing his trusty cleaver to bear...
Also can't go wrong with a dungeon setting for them.
It actually was your dungeon collection that mede me start this project. As you will see soon some of your paint schemes have been blatantly copied. At the moment my dungeon consist of only this section which was tossed around the desk for several weeks. I guess the old dungeon floor plans will have to do.

This is the only unreleased/ prototype citadel piece that I own and to me it proves why most unreleased stuff never saw circulation. It´s simply crap. While the inner child in me is filled with joy about a demon firing cannon balls out of his behind the sculpting was extremly rough. Never mind the side parts that hardly join the body. Again the airbrush proved invaluable for the colour transitions and base and then it was endless hours of glazing and tinting over the 2016 christmas period. What a fitting subject. I should have noted down the recipe for the dwarf armour to use on some future undead...

The one and only diorama I ever did and I know why: they take ages. Started in 2015 finished about two years later. The base took longer than the miniatures which was mostly due to the cannon carriage getting shorted and the spare parts used for it needing excessive sanding and filling. I tried to use similar color schemes on all elements and there is actually the attempt at creating a light source with the dwarf in the centre. Mediocre pics don´t help here...
-
Well 2 years or not it looks fantastic!!
-
He's in trouble!
Nice work. 2 years or not.
-
It came together over the course of two years with several months where the two minis just sat around. Still nothing I could finish over the course of a weekend though.
-
I believe it took Michaelangelo 2 years to sculpt the David statue, haha. Incredible result, regardless of the amount of time spent, however. I admire how rich your colors are in all these pics, I look forward to seeing more. Great thread!
-
@Pulper: Amazing... :o
-
Great little scene! :-*

Some more stuff that got finished in 2018.
