Help with tribal rowers

I was wondering if any of my fellow LAFers knew of any manufacturers of 28mm tribal rowers that i could use in my dug out canoes.  You can see the sort of thing I'm after from the pictures below. These rowers are kit bashed  from far too many bits of plastics with copious amounts of green stuff to make me want to do 8 more (the number I need for the other two canoes I have got to crew).  
The minis would just have to be in that' kneeling up with arms holding paddle position'. I'm happy to make changes in apparel etc but making the actual pose was quite a faff.
 I'm going to make some paddle shapes out of card to attach to the oars these are holding so they look like they are paddling rather than punting. Again if anyone is aware of ready made paddles I could get that'd be appreciated.

You've done a good job there. I'm afraid I'm not aware of anything particularly useful for this. Maybe other LAFers know better. It had been something of a sticking point for me with canoes, as I really can't be bothered to go through such conversions as you have for figures that will see such little use.

Therefore I had resolved to simply use whatever tribal figures I happened to be using in their normal standing poses. There is at least, some historical precedent for this, as in these silly buggers displaying a scant regard for health and safety, whilst also doing their best George Washington crossing the Delaware impersonation (whenever I'm in a rowing boat I always race to claim that spot in the bow to avoid any actual rowing, and strike up a suitably dramatic pose. It has only resulted in my falling in the river a few times):



Might be a way to at least cut down your workload, by having some of the occupants standing up and waving their arms about instead of behaving sensibly and helping with the rowing.

I think your conversions are brilliant.  I'd recommend to do more of those!

Redoubt have Native American paddlers in their canoes, so head swaps might help you cut down on time.

Here are a couple of possibilities from Old Glory

The first are american indians, and only 4 of the figures are rowing.

The second "Cannibal Canoe" has TEN rowers, but they are kneeling 'both knees on the ground'.  Arms are good, however, and the grass skirts should work for your purposes.  $36 is pretty good value, half the price of the Hawaiians shown above, and if you join the Old Glory Army that price drops by another 40%.  The resin canoe is quite nice as well.  

Please ignore the fact that the witless Old Glory Photographer has the cannibal figures facing the STERN of the canoe.

Thanks  everyone there's some really good suggestions here. The Redoubt with head swaps or the Old Glory Cannibals are a definate possiblity.

  But PLEASE paint the inside of the muzzle of your cannon black !!  

Definately will do that, there's a bit more work to do on this and I didn't realise I'd not painted the inside of the cannon myself  till I saw the photo.
