Any suggestions for 1:72 or 20mm landing boat rowers?

This may be a long shot…. I have a scheme to game the battle of Queenston Heights in the War of 1812 and I would like to depict boats used for the river crossing. I think Papierschnitzel’s large paper craft boat would be easy to resize to get the boats. I could just use the boats, but I am sometimes a glutton for punishment and adding rowers appeals to me- can anyone suggest a source that are about the right size and clothing (in shirts/jackets and bare headed or wearing round hats or shakes, ideally)?

Something you may find useful, in my opinion, but conversion is required.

Thanks for the suggestion Cuprum. The Roman rowers might work as the basis for conversions, but would definitely need some putty and maybe some head swaps. I’m pretty sure there is a soft plastic set of Viking rowers on the market, too, but I would face the same issue with them.

I have not seen purpose made 18th century rowers before.

All I can suggest is the Airfix Horse Artillery set, or the Wild West wagons. Neither of which would be a cheap option.

Would OO railway seated passengers be any use?

Or going full-on Peter Laing and building up dollys from two lengths of 30amp cable core?

I used acw  limber riders with tricornes from washingtons army, oars from plastic broom bristles flattened at one end in electricians pliers then trimmed to shape.but only needed 10 for a boats crew.
