The Rules
It was 2 years in the playtesting and development, but I wanted to give purchasers the most value for their money. The campaign rules themselves are simple, logical, and require almost no bookkeeping. They give you turn-by-turn updates on how each tribe is faring in the struggle for control of hunting grounds in colonial North America. The system also determines an overall winner.

Campaign Choices
The Beaver Wars is really four campaigns in one. I've divided the conflict into four theaters and time frames. Each is presented with its own unique rules and tribes involved. What's more, I break it down further by numbers of players -- providing a two-player, three, four, and more player versions. Each is different, and will give a unique feel to the struggles of the tribes involved.

History
My research used dozens of primary and secondary sources covering this sometimes hazily-documented time period. I compared accounts, weighed it with what further research told me about each tribe, and give a narrative of these words all in one place for the gamer as well as the Historian. In addition, capsule histories are provided for 14 of the tribes that took a major part in the Beaver Wars. Hopefully, this book will be educational as well as fun!

18 Scenarios
Last but not least, this 75+ page book contains 18 scenarios to use to fight out your campaign. These are meant to be easily translatable to other rules systems. So, you can use them for one-off games of not only Song of Drums and Tomahawks (my rules), but for any blackpowder skirmish system. All scenarios were extensively playtested over the course of our test campaigns, and adjusted and tweaked to provide new tactical challenges. Each includes a large map, terrain description, scenario victory conditions, and special rules. The scenarios are a big part of this book because I wanted it to be worthwhile to purchase for these alone, too.
