Awesome news! I hope that the movie becomes a reality.

I have five or six 1/20 MaK kits unbuilt, waiting in the build queue... and those kits are not that pricy, at least if compared to a kidney, trust me, I know, but yes, they could be a tad cheaper so I could get more of them... for the queue

Indeed. If you look at some of the engine areas and hull shapes you can clearly spot Yakult (Or equivalent probiotic yogurt drink) bottles and spoons.
If you go over to the MaK forum there are some annoyingly gorgeous scratch builds.

Yes, regarding the yoghurt container, the most gorgeous example is Falke's motor. And the anti-grav half-spheres are halved ping pong balls etc.

Indeed, The Falke is exactly what i was thinking of.
It'd be a huge shame if the adaptation redesigns everything and misses the fact that MaK is made by it's aesthetic.

Yes, lets hope Kow Yokoyama sensei as the creator is known, keeps tight leash on that matter and the aesthetic side remains true to the original art.

I agree, if you take out the aesthetic there remains precious little worth making a movie from.
