Where are the buildings from? Nice work!

Thanks Parkaboy.

There is a Church and the upper level of a Chateau from Sarissa Precision, a Black Grom Studio Brickworks (the industrial building with the corrugated roof detailed here).  Otherwise the buildings, clock tower, domed roof buildings and chimneys are scratchbuilt - just cardboard boxes (from IKEA if I recall correctly) with paper brick texture from Paper Bricks and home designed/printed windows.  Chimney stacks are all separate pieces.

The domed roof rotunda is based on a piece of polystyrene foam packaging I found in the recycling bin near the Physics Building  ::), with a polystyrene ball roof and again printed windows etc.

Still have some work to do on the plastic tray I use for the large skylight.  :?

It's all tidied up with a 'fog blanket' consisting of chunks of polyester pillow stuffing wedged down between the buildings.

The key is to create the impression of the roofs but have mostly flat surfaces for ease of play.  Ledges, balconies and roofs have to be suitable for figures, and provide enough space for movement, fights, etc.

That said, any mdf buildings I'm buying are scrutinised for suitability to add to this terrain - they have to have a separate upper floor/roof.  I've got plans to extend it (see some ideas I mentioned earlier in the thread), and also maybe add some modern skyscrapers for Black Ops style capers.   ;D

That board looks great, I've always wanted to play a 'rooftop' game since I saw a ninja-themed board somewhere on the web years ago.

Great AAR as well.
