Hello,

Does anyone have any pictures of info on the Heroics & Ros 6mm Viking ships?

They have pictures in their gallery of the ships themselves, but not of the rowers, warriors, command packs etc etc.

I'd like to know how many figures you get in the various crew packs to get an idea of how many ships you can crew with a single pack.

Any advice appreciated.

If you call them, they are extremely helpful. And their mail order is top notch. I ordered about 60 various 6mm items at about 3pm over the phone, and they arrived next day.

Very unusual, unless they are on hols. I have been buying mail order from them for about twenty years and never had a issue.

Thanks Mike. I'd seen the Dispatches review before (he doesn't discuss how many figures in the crew packs etc).  but hadn't seen the other one. I'm checking it out now - seems to have a lot of the info I need.

I got one pack of each of the packs(Saga crew, Leaders, rowers) but I was also given a random assortment of crew from the nice chaps at H&R when I bought the first of my ships at Joy of Six, so cant really say how many you get in each pack as they all got mixed up, but I would estimate the extra's I got amounted to a pack of crew, I have managed to crew all three of my ships (35 crew between them) and had a good few spare and I didn't use any of the rowers in the end. Their are pics on my blog of the crewed ships so you can see I squeezed about as many on as you can.

What are the oarsmen like? Could you have some oarsmen and warriors in a single snekke, or would there not be enough space to do them both justice?

I reckon you could get four rows of two oarsmen plus 2 warriors or 1 and the helmsman at most in the Snekki (I put 8 warriors in mine), fewer oarsmen than that would look odd and wouldn't seem worthwhile IMO, the bigger ships would be better for mixing the warriors/oarsmen up

LOL! No, I just have a hankering for a Viking project, an I figured some longships for Galleys & Galleons would work well.
