Four weeks to go until we put on a huge LOTR SBG participation game at Hammerhead.

Four weeks to go until Hammerhead 2018 (Saturday 3rd March 2018), so time to start working on the terrain in earnest. Yesterday we put together as many of the pieces that we have to get a first lokk at how the table will look. The key features are the Port of Umbar with it's imposing harbour wall and wooden jetties. Behind the Port is the walled City itself. Key locations in the city are the Sultans Palace, the market place and the arena / slave pits.

Wow! Please make sure to post pictures from the battle! How did you make the water?

Glad you like it. I'm planning to add some extra photos each week to track progress and of course a big photo shoot on the day.

The water tiles (and all the other tiles are from Sally 4th Terra Former range)

Once assembled a piece of polystyrene is dropped in, some filler mixed and spread with a brush. Once dry painted with Dulux Emulsion 'Trailing Ivy', drybrushed white to pick up movement of water and then finished off wth a couple of coats of gloss varnish.

It's really effective. Looking forward to following your process. I've just been introduced to the lotr sbg ruleset and I like it a lot.

Hammerhead getting closer and closer. This time next week we will be packing it up and heading South.

Over the last week I've been busy building plinth to raise walls, painting walls and sorting out some siege equipment.
