Count Nils Brahe, commander fo the Yellow Brigade
« on: 27 May 2019, 11:15:59 PM »
Count Nils Brahe was a rising star in the army of Gustav Adolf, and a favourite of the King. Brahe commanded the Yellow brigade at Lützen, 1632, where he was wounded, and died two weeks later from the wound. I have modelled him bravely leading his regiment in to the 'teeth of the gale', so to speak!

The Yellow brigade were very roughly handled at Lützen, 1632, and an Imperial account described them reduced to 'hills of corpses'.  This is partly ascribed to them having 'forgotten how to run away' !.   :o

Very, very cool. I really like the red on the sleeve. Shadows/highlights look just right to indicate some nice-quality fabric.

Funny thing is that my 10mm iteration of the guy looks quite similar to how you painted yours. :D (albeit much smaller. And without impressive flags. Where did you get yours from?)

Thank you @Oshiro!

Thanks @Sigur, much appreciated.  The Colours are from the fabulous Flags of War range - everyone a stunner.  I think Iain, who runs, Flags of War is on the forum, so perhaps he'll pop by and take a bow  :D

Thank you @Ragnar!
